Logan Director Shows Off New Character Images

Director James Mangold has shown off three new pictures of the core cast of his upcoming X-Men spin-off, Logan.

Posting on Twitter, the images show us Logan, Professor X and the somewhat mysterious Laura (who will almost certainly turn out to be X-23). None of them look very peppy.

The moody shots fit with the film's apparently more "human" approach. Mangold has previously said that the film - which features the ex-Wolverine caring for an ailing Professor X in hiding - is "the story of a man who is struggling with mortality and legacy, and whether the world has been better off with him or without him."

Respawn Cancels Titanfall: Frontline

Respawn Entertainemnt has cancelled Titanfall: Frontline - a standalone mobile game - following unsatisfactory beta tests.

As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, the Titanfall-themed card game was to be the first in a multi-title partnership with mobile specialist Nexon.

A statement on the Titanfall: Frontline website reads:

"We’ve learned an incredible amount in the beta test of Titanfall: Frontline, but in the end felt the experience wasn't ready to deliver the intense action-packed gameplay synonymous with Titanfall. While it’s never easy to cancel a game, we’re excited to take some of the concepts we saw resonate with players and build off of them in future Titanfall mobile games."

Artist Reveals Concept Art from Cancelled Darth Maul Game

New artwork for the cancelled Darth Maul game, Star Wars: Maul has been revealed by an artist who had been working on the title.

It was supposed to be a stealth-action game inspired by the likes of Batman: Arkham Asylum, but was cancelled in 2011.

Artist Thomas A. Szakolczay shared the artwork on his online portfolio (thanks, Game Informer), complete with concept images of characters, storyboards and even in-game holographic advertising.

Ben Affleck’s Live by Night Bombs Big at Box Office

Live by Night was one of three new films that bombed at the domestic box office this weekend, earning just $5.4 million.

Warner Bros.' gangster film starring Ben Affleck failed to crack the top 10, opening wide in eleventh place. As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, the film has a long way to go before reaching profitability, as Live by Night cost a net total of $65 million to produce. The movie may not even hit the $6 million mark by the end of the four-day weekend, and is also performing poorly internationally, debuting to just $3.3 million overseas.

The largest capacity micro SDXC cards currently available for wide commercial purchase are 256GB in size and cost roughly $200 at major retailers. As seen in the video above, Nintendo showed off a 256GB card in use with the system during its Treehouse Live event stream last week.
