Bates Motel Final Season Posters Get Extra Creepy

The final season of Bates Motel is debuting next month and Norman Bates is showing just how Psycho he's become in new key art for the A&E series.

IGN has the debut of all four different versions of the Season 5 key art, which will be seen on billboards beginning on Monday, January 23rd. Fans will note that in a fun touch, imagery here evokes previous Bates Motel art (such as Norman and Norma sitting on the bed together), with a very macabre twist this time.

Check out the slideshow below to see Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) and his mother, Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga), and just how unbreakable their bond is - even going beyond death.

Central City to Appear in Justice League

A new set photo from Justice league confirms that Central City, the home of Barry Allen/Flash in the comics, will indeed be in the film.

The photo comes way of the British Society of Cinematographers and features Justice League's director of photography, Fabian Wagner, with a specific sign behind him that reads “Central City: City Limit." Though it's not known how much of Central City will be in the film, this photo at least confirms it's featured in Justice league in some capacity.

Black Adam and Every Other DC Movie’s Release Date

As the DC movie universe (or the DCEU as fans have come to call it) prepares to unleash its next wave on fans with Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman 1984, and now The Rock's Black Adam, which just had its release date of December 22, 2021, and a piece of concept art revealed, what better time to catch up on the state of the DC Extended Universe?

Unlike Marvel though, DC's plans don't include synergy across all mediums. Their movies, while containing many of the same characters, do not cross over with the CW TV-verse that includes Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl, or DC Universe streaming shows like Titans. Yes, DC's betting big and doubling up on their heroes, but the TV realm is another story entirely. Just FYI!

Respawn Developer Laughs Off the Idea of Titanfall on Switch

EA may consider itself a partner for Nintendo Switch, but you won't see its Titanfall franchise on the machine anytime soon.

Speaking to YouTube channel Drunk Tech Review, Respawn Entertainment senior designer Mohammad Alavi was emphatic in response to a question about whether a Titanfall 2 port to Switch was possible:

"No. F*** no. No you're not going to be able to fit Titanfall on it. That's the same Zelda from the Wii U

."

Alavi compared the Switch to its home console predecessors, and their inability to sustain AAA third-party interest:

"I was excited about it, because Nintendo's been in such a niche market recently like, you know, catering to the handheld

House of Cards: Season 5 Teaser/Debut Date Revealed

Netflix has released the first teaser and debut date for the fifth season of House of Cards. With a show focused on the President of the United States (Kevin Spacey as Frank Underwood), it's obviously no coincidence this was revealed on inauguration day.

The first look at Season 5 is short, as the teaser only provides a brief look at the series' dark tone, with several kids reciting the Pledge of Allegiance while an upside down United States flag is shown, which is usually a signal of distress.

House of Cards will return on May 30, 2017, later than the show's usual February or March premieres. Also notable is that May 30th is a Tuesday, unlike the Friday debuts Netflix usually uses for new seasons of their series.

Limbo, Inside Developer Shows Concept Art From Next Game

Playdead has shown off the first piece of concept art from its untitled next game.

The Limbo and Inside developer took to Twitter to show off some familiarly bleak, muted imagery:

There's a good reason to be excited for this - Limbo is considered part of the birth of the modern indie movement, while last year's Inside garnered a 10/10 review and was IGN's runner-up for game of the year.

IGN UK Podcast #367: The Questions No One’s Asking About The Switch

But Gav, Alysia and Joe are here to ask the questions that no one else is asking - perhaps for good reason. Plus, a new Logan trailer has just been released for your eyeballs, and Gav has another set of films prepped for the return of Keyword Countdown proper.

Nintendo Switch Will Have Miis, But They Won’t Be Mandatory

Nintendo will be updating Miis for the new generation, but they won't remain a key part of using the console.

On Wii, Wii U and 3DS, Miis were a compulsory part of creating a user profile, but thanks to Kotaku we know that won't be the case on Switch.

"Mii characters can be used to represent a user profile, but are not required," said a Nintendo spokesperson. "Users also have the option to choose a profile picture from an included library of Nintendo character images. Mii characters can still be used in games if developers choose to include them."

Nintendo also confirmed that what was the Mii Maker app is now a part of the console's system settings, and that Wii U and 3DS Miis can be transferred to the new console via an Amiibo figure.
