MissingNo. Is Still Causing Problems in Pokemon Sun & Moon
With Pokemon Bank now updated, some players have been testing what happens when you transfer the ‘glitch Pokemon’ MissingNo. into Sun and Moon.
According to players, transferring MissingNo. from Pokemon Red, Blue, or Yellow into Bank via the Transporter app messes with nicknames, permanently rebranding your catches. MissingNo. vanishes from the Transport Box, and monsters' names are each pushed one to the right, permanently.
In the case of Twitter user blazevoir, a Tentacool ended up being named MissingNo., a Rhydon became Tentacool, a Wartortle became Rhydon and so on. Here’s a video showing the weird bug in action.
Hideo Kojima, Death Stranding, and Building the Studio
"You're leaving the world you know, and entering somewhere completely different." Those were the words spoken to us as we entered Kojima Productions’ brand-new and incredibly-impressive studio space in the Shinagawa ward of Tokyo. Mere blocks away from Sony’s Japan Studio, Kojima Productions is one of the strangest-but-fitting studios I’ve ever visited, and taking a tour of the space and speaking with the team has me even more excited for Death Stranding.

The office starts normal enough, with a small room that houses a spartan trophy case, including a pair of E3 2016 IGN awards. But upon tapping your employee ID badge on a futuristic-looking podium, a wall opened up, revealing a sight that I’ve never seen before in the dozens of games studios I’ve visited. As Hideo Kojima himself told us, “I want to make something no one has ever seen before, to take them to a place they have never been, to teach them something new.”
Hideo Kojima on His Time with Konami
Hideo Kojima commented on his inspirations, Kojima Productions, and his time with his former employer Konami. In a statement given to us during our visit to the opening of the new Kojima Productions studio space, the Metal Gear/PT/Death Stranding creator had this to say:
"The me that stands here now is the product of the past 53 years of my life. Everything I experienced over 53 years; movies I’ve seen, books I’ve read, music I’ve listened to, games I’ve played, people I’ve met and the 30 years spent in this industry, have formed who I am. Not one of these things has been without purpose, including my experience creating games at Konami. I’m embarking on a new challenge with a fresh slate, but I intend to keep pushing the creative envelope until the day I die. I believe my experiences over the past 53 years won’t lead me astray."
It’s Always Sunny: “Wolf Cola” Review
Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
It's been a while since an Always Sunny episode has fallen flat like "Wolf Cola: A Public Relations Nightmare," which, I suppose, is a bit of a backhanded compliment. Dry, slightly hacky chapters like this one don't happen very often. That's a good thing indeed, though it doesn't help make this one any funnier.
Still, within "Wolf Cola," there were some astute obsessions about disposable outrage, the 24-hour news cycle, and the way women are hated for simply existing ("the internet will come down on you with the fury of a middle-aged man who's accomplished nothing"). But the laughs were few and far between, and Charlie and Mac's little side venture felt uninspired and short-changed. If you're going bring back a famous series bit, like Fight Milk, then you better make sure it's worth the effort.
The Flash Movie Getting a Complete Rewrite
Warner Bros. has decided to take The Flash movie in an entirely new direction.
Because of this, the script is getting a "page-one rewrite," according to Variety. While no director has been signed on to helm the movie since Rick Famuyiwa left the project in late October, Warner Bros. has hired Joby Harold to handle the script re-write.
Harold is the script writer behind the upcoming King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, which director Guy Ritchie promises will be "huge and spectacular."
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue Review
The awkwardly titled Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue is meant to set the stage for the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts 3, but this collection will really only be of value to those who are already well versed in all things hearts and heartless. Without that background, dropping into this collection at this point would likely leave amateur keyblade wielders in a confusing place.
Final Chapter Prologue is composed of three portions: 0.2 Birth By Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage, Dream Drop Distance, and Back Cover. The first of those three, a mini-chapter that fills in the gaps of Aqua’s history, is 2.8’s most exciting and rewarding aspect.
9 Bad Movies That Were Nominated for an Oscar
Every year, the Oscars award the best in all aspects of filmmaking. Sometimes, that means talented work in various categories is being done on films that are otherwise critical failures.
Following the announcement of the 2017 Oscar nominees, IGN is taking a look back at nine "bad" films that still went on to receive Oscar nominations. Of course, because calling a movie "bad" is inherently subjective, our objective barometer for deeming a film "bad" is that it scored 35% or lower on review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes.
Read on to learn what aspects of poorly received films, including one from this year, still garnered attention from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
13 Hollywood Legends Discovered by Roger Corman
With the release of Death Race 2050 on home video platforms, Roger Corman continues the career for which he has achieved cult status and unending notoriety as “The Pope of Pop Cinema.” During decades of independent film production, often accomplished on little more than a few dollars and a dream, Corman -- now 90 years old and still working -- has not only created countless cheesy movie memories but also offered early opportunities to many of the most famous film professionals working today.
As we celebrate Corman’s return with a sequel to one of his all-time classics, we look back at 13 big Hollywood names that got their start toiling at the feet of the Schlockmeister himself!
Ghost in the Shell: New Poster and Digital Mind Video
Paramount Pictures has released a new international poster and a short video called Digital Mind for its upcoming live-action remake of Ghost in the Shell.
The video is only 15 seconds long and is a close-up of Scarlett Johansson, who stars as main character The Major in the film. If you watch closely, you can make out The Major's mechanical skeleton and wiring that are hiding underneath her human skin.
The new poster sports a striking red background of a city and, along with The Major, features Batou (Pilou Asbæk) and Daisuke Aramaki (Takeshi Kitano).

Every Game Confirmed to Release in 2018
We still have an entire year of releases staring us down here in January 2017, but things change, deadlines shift, and games often slip further into the future.
2017 may just be getting started, but believe it or not, 2018 is already starting to take shape. These are the games currently announced for release during 2018.
Currently in development, Koji Igarashi's return to a classic Castlevania: Symphony of the Night-style game was met with a great amount of enthusiasm, going on to break records and earn more than $5 million on Kickstarter.
