Rogue One Easter Eggs Will Feature Familiar Monsters
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story director Gareth Edwards has revealed a couple of easter eggs hidden in the film, both of which feature monsters completely unrelated to the Star Wars universe.
During the latest episode of The Star Wars Show, Edwards said there are paintings of a few iconic monsters that can be found in the cave of Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker), including Godzilla.
"One of them is of the creatures that were in my first film, called Monsters, and then there’s some MUTOs and Godzilla," he said. "I didn’t ask for it, they just did it as a joke. I came in one day and spotted it in the middle of a take."

Former Star Trek Discovery showrunner Bryan Fuller is no longer involved with the CBS All Access series.
In October, CBS confirmed that Fuller had taken a step back from the revived Trek series due to scheduling issues. But now, while speaking with Newsweek, Fuller has stated that he's not working on Star Trek Discovery in any capacity anymore. He still has an executive producer credit, though, and he wrote the story arc for the inaugural season as well as the first two episodes.
How Mass Effect 3’s Ending Influenced Andromeda
Warning: This article contains spoilers for the ending of Mass Effect 3.
As much as Mass Effect: Andromeda is a "fresh start" for the Mass Effect franchise, it also draws direct influence from the earlier installments of the series and the reactions fans had to them. Everything from the negative response to Mass Effect 3's ending to the successes in the way players' decisions affected the conclusion of Mass Effect 2 shaped how Bioware creative director and Mass Effect franchise lead writer Mac Walters viewed Andromeda as a new point of entry into the Mass Effect world.
After Mass Effect 3's ending was divisive among the gaming community, Walters said the Bioware team learned some key lessons that they applied moving forward to Andromeda.
Opinion: The All-New X-Men Need to Go Home
Marvel has been busy these past few weeks, shedding light on the upcoming ResurrXion relaunch and the general future of the X-Men franchise after Inhumans vs. X-Men. The post-IvX X-Men line will be anchored by two flagship books, X-Men Gold (featuring a cast of familiar A-Listers) and X-Men Blue (the latest book to star the time-displaced original X-Men). The hope is that this relaunch will reinvigorate a franchise that's been in poor shape for the past two years. Perhaps it will. But at the moment it's hard to feel very enthused about the prospect of another comic focused on the original X-Men dealing with life in the future. It's past time for Marvel to send these characters back from where they came.
Why Marvel vs Capcom 4 Needs the X-Men Universe
With the probability of seeing Marvel vs Capcom 4 climbing suddenly from “pipe dream” to “distinct possibility” within the last few days, fans of Capcom’s long-running Vs. series have experienced a mix of elation and trepidation. Early reports indicate that Marvel wants to stay focused on characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), possibly even to the exclusion of X-Men-related characters like Magneto and Wolverine.
To the casual observer, this is a matter of two characters amidst a sea of beloved alternatives. But it’s much, much bigger than a handful of mutants: Marvel vs Capcom 4 absolutely needs the X-Men universe. Here’s a few reasons why.
