Death Stranding’s E3 Trailer Wasn’t Running on Horizon Zero Dawn Engine
Hideo Kojima has confirmed the Death Stranding trailer shown during last week's The Game Awards show was indeed running on a PS4.
Speaking to IGN, Kojima revealed "The Death Stranding trailer we showed at TGA was running in real time and in 4K on PS4 Pro."
While this new teaser was on a PS4, Kojima clarified that the previously-shown E3 announcement trailer was created before Kojima Productions settled on Guerilla Games' Decima engine for Death Stranding, meaning the E3 video was not running in Decima and isn't indicative of the final game.
IGN UK Podcast #361: How Modern Horror Created Resi 7
Gav went to Japan, got scared out of his wits, and returned with an uneasily rustling bag of answers to the Internet's questions about Resident Evil 7. In the meantime, Rory and Joe just watched lots of comedies about idiot men having a nice time. Different strokes for different folks.

7 Secrets Revealed from War for the Planet of the Apes
I’m standing in a prisoner of war camp in Richmond, Canada. But this place is not holding any regular prisoners. No, these inmates are apes. POWs from the War for the Planet of the Apes!
It’s cold and wet and misty out, early January of 2016, and in fact there aren’t any apes around -- just actors and performers in motion capture suits. And we’re not really in the mountains, but rather in an empty lot that’s surrounded by giant green screens which will be filled in with the Sierra landscape in post. It’s day 54 of 96 of production of this third modern Planet of the Apes movie, which once again stars Andy Serkis as Caesar, leader of the simian forces who are facing an increasingly dangerous threat from a desperate humankind. Matt Reeves, who directed the last film, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, is back once again to tell Caesar’s story.
Heroes of the Storm Director Moves Onto New Blizzard Project
Dustin Browder, game director on Heroes of the Storm, has left development of the MOBA to join an unannounced project at Blizzard.
Announced on the Battle.net forum, Browder explained that he was leaving the team, and had already begun transitioning his responsibilities to former technical director Alan Dabiri.
"We sometimes get exciting chances to work on other projects," Browder explained. "I’m going to take one of those chances to try something new at Blizzard."
Browder's part of something of a trend at Blizzard in recent months. In October, World of Warcraft director Tom Chilton also stepped down to move onto a new project.

The Last Guardian Special Edition is £1 More Than The Standard Edition
We thought we would never see a day where The Last Guardian is officially available in stores let alone a price drop; Today, GAME are selling a Special Edition of The Last Guardian for £44.99, which includes a Premium Steelbook Game Case and Blu-ray game disc in compatibility with the PS4 Pro. Considering Amazon are selling the Standard Edition for £44.00 (or £42.00 with Amazon Prime), we'd say this is a pretty good deal for a 4K physical copy of The Last Guardian.
DICE Confirms Star Wars Battlefront 2 Will Have a Campaign
Following the much-criticised omission of a single-player campaign in Star Wars Battlefront, DICE has confirmed that it is creating one for a sequel next year.
While the move had been teased by EA Studios boss, Patrick Söderlund previously, this is the first time it's been discussed in an explicit, official sense.
Speaking to Eurogamer, DICE producer Paul Keslin said: "Myself as a Star Wars fan, I want story, I want narrative, I want something I can play that immerses me in that world but gives me something to follow and chase."
Super Mario Run Requires an Internet Connection to Play
Mario's mobile device debut can only be played with an internet connection - ruling out playing it on many modes of transport.
Speaking to Mashable, Shigeru Miyamoto explained that the decision was made for security reasons, helping Nintendo combat the risk of piracy. All three of the game's modes, Toad Rally, Kingdom Builder and the single-player World Tour campaign will require an active connection to access.
"We wanted to be able to leverage that network connection with all three of the
modes," Miyamoto explained, "to keep all of the modes functioning together and offering the game in a way that keeps the software secure. This is something that we want to continue to work on as we continue to develop the game.
