Dead Rising 4 Doesn’t Have Campaign Co-op

Dead Rising 4 will not feature campaign co-op, unlike previous games in the series.

Via Destructoid, Capcom Vancouver producer David McAnerin fielded a question from a fan on a stream asking whether the fourth iteration will feature co-op play in the main campaign.

“So, in the story mode, it’s a single player story mode, you’re going to play just as Frank…,” says McAnerin. “The four player co-op is our multiplayer mode. It’s a little bit inspired by the original Infinity mode for the old-school fans.”

Sesame Street Movie in the Works at Warner Bros.

A new Sesame Street movie is being developed by writers David Guion and Michael Handelman for Warner Bros.

According to Deadline, the writers are working on a script treatment for the movie based on everyone's favorite fictional New York City street.

Sesame Street was a mainstay of children's programming on PBS for over 40 years, and last year the series moved to its new home on HBO.

Since the movie's script treatment hasn't been handed in, it's safe to say the movie is very early in development. It also wouldn't be the first movie based on the characters and lessons of the Sesame Street cinematic universe.

Steve Carell is in talks to star in the upcoming Warner Bros. Minecraft movie.

It's unknown what role the actor will play, and according to Variety, Warner Bros. has no comment on the casting at this time.

The movie is still a long ways off. In June, Mojang announced the Minecraft movie release date isn't until May 24, 2019.

Of course, Minecraft is a familiar property to just about everyone, and Mojang is involved with the movie's development. The Minecraft movie aims to the capture the same audience as Jurassic World.

Sam Raimi: Last of Us Movie Stuck at a ‘Standstill’

I attended a press lunch today for the upcoming home video release of Don't Breathe, during which time I was able to ask producer Sam Raimi about the status of the big screen version of the hit video game The Last of Us. And what he had to tell us wasn't very hopeful.

The movie was formally announced in March 2014 as being a Screen Gems release. The screenplay was penned by Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann, the Creative Director for the game, who is also a producer on the film along with Raimi and his Ghost House Pictures company, Naughty Dog Co-Presidents' Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra, and Game Director Bruce Straley. In the ensuing years since that announcement, there were rumblings of Game of Thrones' Maisie Williams being courted to star and subsequent comments from Druckmann that the movie would boast "big changes" from the game's story.
