Hacker Convicted After Stealing $16 Million in FIFA Coins
Hacker Anthony Clark, 24, from California, has been convicted of wire fraud following a scheme that involved defrauding EA of FIFA coins to the value of $16 million.
As Eurogamer reports, the popularity of FIFA worldwide has led to black market trading of the game’s in-game currency. In short, the currency, which can be purchased with real world money, has a value online where it can be sold without EA’s permission for less than it costs to buy it legally.
The FBI accused Clark and three other co-conspirators – Nick Castellucci, 24, of New Jersey, Ricky Miller, 24, of Arlington, Texas, and Eaton Zveare, 24, of Lancaster, Virginia – of building software which logged thousands of FIFA matches within a matter of seconds, resulting in EA’s servers crediting Clark and co. with coins they had "earned" from gameplay.
11 Video Games For People Who Hate Video Games
For various reasons — cost, time investment, physical barriers — video games can be particularly tough to pick up for people who didn’t grow up with them. If you’re trying to ignite a love of games in someone you know, but haven’t quite found the game to do it, this list is for you.
Below are 11 of the best video games non-gamers might enjoy, in no particular order...
Learning the controls is among the biggest obstacles an inexperienced player faces when trying to pick up a game. Luckily, for the comedy physics game Octodad: Dadliest Catch, failing at even the most basic actions is part of the fun. As an octopus in human disguise, Octodad must navigate every day, suburban life as a working husband and father without having his true identity discovered. Mundane tasks like grilling burgers, going to the grocery store, and taking the kids to the aquarium become hilarious struggles with Octodad’s awkward, cephalopodic movement, something that players of any skill level can enjoy.

Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers Announced
The next instalment of the Dynasty Warriors franchise has been announced.
Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers is set in the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese History -- the time where China was comprised of three state, Wei, Shu, and Wu, which took place between the Han and Jin dynasty.
The game takes cues from the Dynasty Tactics series and offers players a different way to experience the events of that saga.
As well as returning fan favourites, Godseekers throws newcomers Lixia and Lei Bin into the mix. Lixia is a lady with magical powers who’s been sealed in an icy shrine for centuries, while Lei Bin is Zhao Yun’s childhood friend and lore master.
The story throws players into the final days of the Han dynasty in 220 -- a time when China attempted to quell numerous uprisings and settle power struggles. Players will see Zhao Yun and Lei Bin as they set out to free Lixia from her prison while also finding themselves in a spot of bother.

To remind you what works and what doesn't.

Respawn Unsure If There Will Be a Titanfall 3
Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella says the studio is currently unsure as to whether or not there will be a Titanfall 3.
"We don't know yet," Zampella told Glixel when asked if there will be another installment. He said that Titanfall 2 has been a "huge success" critically and they're "really happy with all the reviews and the positive sentiment," but "it's too early to tell" from a sales standpoint.
"We'd definitely like to tell more of the story and the universe," Zampella continued. "I think it's pretty safe to assume that we'll explore more of it. EA might have announced more."

The second trailer for Kong: Skull Island debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight, featuring more of cinema's biggest ape (who's bigger in this film than he's ever been depicted before).
The film, directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, and Samuel L. Jackson. The new trailer for the Vietnam era-set tale opens with CCR's "Bad Moon Rising" blaring as our characters undertake their mission only to run afoul of King Kong.
The trailer also features a bit more humor than the first trailer did, this time courtesy of John C. Reilly's character, as well as the other monsters who inhabit Skull Island.
