Adr1ft Canceled for Xbox One
Adr1ft, the virtual reality space game from developer Three One Zero, is no longer coming to Xbox One.
Adam Orth, the game's creator—and former Microsoft Studios creative director—replied to a fan on Twitter who said they just pre-ordered the game for Xbox One. "That's not real. You should get a refund immediately. Game not releasing on Xbox One," Orth wrote.
We've reached out to Three One Zero for more information and will update this story with any comment we receive.
Adr1ft launched earlier this year for PC and PlayStation 4, with an Xbox One version expected to arrive sometime later. The game's publisher, 505 Games, has yet to officially comment on the game's cancelation for Xbox One.
Opinion: Battlefield 1 Is the Right Way to Tell War Stories
November 11, which actually rolled around late last week, was Armistice Day. In 2016 it marked 98 years since the signing of the armistice which ended the First World War. It famously came into effect at 11am in Paris on November 11, 1918; the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
It’s well-known history, and November 11 is commemorated in a host of countries around the globe. In the US November 11 is Veterans Day, a federal holiday acknowledging those who have served in the US military. In the UK Armistice Day is commemorated on the nearest Sunday as Remembrance Sunday and is marked with a national service and a march at The Cenotaph in Whitehall. In Canada November 11 is Remembrance Day and is a federal statutory holiday in six of its 10 provinces.
TWD: How Jesus and Carl’s Choices Compare to the Comics
Full spoilers for The Walking Dead's latest episode, "Go Getters," and the Walking Dead comics continue below.
While Rick is busy making nice in Alexandria, a couple of his key allies are taking matters into their own hands. In "Go Getters," Carl decided to set off after Negan himself, while Sasha sent Jesus on a top secret mission to find the Saviors' Sanctuary. And, in a major deviation from Robert Kirkman's comics, Jesus and Carl set off on their parallel journeys together.
Click on the arrow to progress through the below slideshow and see how Carl and Jesus's journeys to find Negan compare to the comics, as well as a look at how that might change things going forward. Due to the graphic nature of both The Walking Dead comics and TV show, the slideshow below contains strong language.
Game Publishers and the ‘Marketing Beta’
“I’m going to get on my soap box,” says Dan Ayoub, studio head of strategy games at 343 Industries. “I think the term ‘beta’, it’s just lost. We should just give up; we’ve lost the word.” Ayoub is definitely onto something.
At risk of showing my age, I remember a time when it was safe to expect a developer to release a demo for its latest game, either close to release or shortly after. Before the reign of pre-orders to secure a digital copy of a non-physical (and thus limitless) item, this was part of how developers would entice gamers to fork over hard-earned cash. Basically, by giving the gaming community a taste of what they’d be paying for, consumers could make informed purchasing decisions.

Fantastic Beasts Dethrones Doctor Strange at the Box Office
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them had a strong first weekend at the domestic box office, debuting in first place with $75 million.
As noted by Variety, this first installment in a new five-part film series from Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling boasted a sizable production budget of $180 million. While its opening weekend doesn't quite match those of the Harry Potter films, Fantastic Beasts met Warner Bros.' expectations.
"This is dead on what we were looking for," Warner Bros. president of domestic distribution Jeff Goldstein said, noting that Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts are two different franchises, and comparing the two would be like comparing "apples and kumquats." For our thoughts on the film, read IGN's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them review.
