Director Tables Possible Villain for Doctor Strange 2
Marvel director Scott Derrickson told IGN what he'd most like to explore in a Doctor Strange sequel.
When asked what elements from source comics he’d most want to feature in another movie, Derrickson said:
“I really like the character of Nightmare and the concept that the Nightmare Realm is a dimension.
That’s early – that’s like the first Strange tale. I think that’s in the introductory episode of Doctor Strange, and I always loved that."
Nightmare did, indeed, first appear alongside the debut of Doctor Strange in Strange Tales #110 (July, 1963). He is the despotic ruler of the Dream Dimension, where humans visit while sleeping, has green hair and a black, horned horse named Dreamstalker. Who wouldn’t want to see that in a movie?
Breath of the Wild May Reflect the Original Legend of Zelda
All Zelda games are cut from the same green cloth to some extent, but Nintendo' been pointing out some very specific connections between 1986's The Legend of Zelda and the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
In a new blog post titled Hyrule: Then and Now, four connections between the games are singled out. Some are more obvious - the fact that both begin with a mysterious old man offering you items to help you survive, or that both include rafting across rivers.
Nintendo Working to Make Super Mario Run as Popular as Pokemon Go
Tatsumi Kimishima, president of Nintendo, has bold intentions going into the launch of Super Mario Run.
Super Mario Run is an upcoming autorunner game coming to iOS which was announced during last month's Apple Event. It'll be coming to 150 countries on iPhone and iPad some time this December.
Kimishima told Bloomberg: "In terms of expectations, we all saw what happened when we delivered Pokemon Go. And honestly I was quite surprised by it myself. There's no doubt that more people are using smartphones to play games. And as this time we're using Mario, that's a very important intellectual property for us. And that's what Miyamoto's team is working on now: making sure it spreads out just as quickly as Pokemon Go."
