Gravity Rush 2 Delayed, Story DLC Will Now Be Free

Despite "production proceeding smoothly", Gravity Rush 2 has been delayed by a little over a month to January 20 in the UK and US.

On the PlayStation blog, director Keiichiro Toyama puts the delay down to how busy the holiday release schedule has become, with games like Final Fantasy XV, The Last Guardian and Pokemon Sun and Moon occupying the same window.

"Gravity Rush 2 is the conclusion of Kat’s journey," he explains, "so we want players to have enough time to dive deep into her story. In addition, as a lot of work went into online features that allow for asynchronous player interaction, we want as many people as possible playing the title at the same time."

Arrow: Who Is Prometheus?

The cast and crew of Arrow are keeping things pretty close to the vest when it comes to the show's fifth season. We know that this new season will revolve around Oliver Queen's efforts to rebuild his fractured team and deal with a mysterious threat tied to his past. We also know that Prometheus will be one of the major villains this year, though not necessarily the same character fans know from the comics. But despite how little we know about the show's direction this year, the first episode made it clear that Prometheus will be a major player from the start.

Who is Prometheus, and how might he fit into the ongoing saga of Team Arrow? Let's take a closer look at this DC villain.

Skyrim and Fallout 4 Getting Mod Support on PS4 After All

Bethesda has revealed that after working together with Sony, Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4 will receive mod support on PlayStation 4 after all.

In addition, the Bethesda website statement says that both games will receive PlayStation 4 Pro enhancements as well. Skyrim Special Edition will run in native 4K on the upgraded system (screenshots below), while Fallout 4 will boast better lighting and graphics features.

It's a notable turn of events for Bethesda and Sony. Last month, the Skyrim and Fallout 4 company announced that mod support wouldn't come to PlayStation 4 because of issues with Sony.

Gears of War Movie Confirmed

During today's Gears of War 4 launch live stream, Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson confirmed that a Gears of War film is in development at Universal.

No writer or director has been announced yet, and Fergusson would not confirm at what point in the Gears universe the movie will take place.

Ted and Central Intelligence producer Scott Stuber, as well as Planet of the Apes' Dylan Clark are both on board to produce for Universal's Bluegrass Films division. No release date has been set for the film.

In the past, a possible Gears of War movie has been discussed, but that project had no talent or distributors attached to it.

Future PSVR Games Will Use Farpoint’s PS Aim Controller

Farpoint won't be the only PSVR title to make use of Sony's PS Aim controller, as SIE Worldwide Studios chairman Shawn Layden has confirmed the company has additional, unannounced titles in development that use the gun peripheral.

"We haven't announced them yet, but yes we do," Layden told IGN when asked whether or not Sony has more software in the works for PS Aim, which promises 1:1 precision tracking. "That will be a continuum of development for VR titles."

Layden also expressed an interest in having Namco bring Point Blank to PlayStation VR with PS Aim support, saying, "I tried to get the guys at Namco to do... Remember Point Blank? Wouldn't you love that game? I'd love that game too. It would be perfect for our peripheral."

New LEGO Batman Movie Sets Revealed

LEGO has revealed three new sets based on The LEGO Batman Movie, which will be released globally in 2017.

Revealed on LEGO's Facebook page, the first set includes the Batcave, four variations of Batman, Bruce Wayne in a tuxedo, Alfred, Penguin, Batman's "Riptide" boat, and a duck-shaped vehicle labeled "duck and cover."

The Arkham Asylum set, meanwhile, appears to be the largest of the three. This set includes the asylum, Batman, Robin, police officers, and a handful of notable villains — The Joker, Dr. Quinzel, Two-Face, and more. Note the Two-Face figure appears to be based on Billy Dee Williams' portrayal of Harvey Dent in Batman (1989). The set also includes a police cruiser, security screening station, and plenty of accessories.

A.D. Explores a World Where Death Has Been Cured

In Scott Snyder and Jeff Lemire’s upcoming comic, death has been cured. Titled A.D.: After Death, it combines prose and traditional comic booking to tell a story that not only pursues the mysteries of this post-mortality world, but delves deep into the memories of protagonist Jonah to examine the ever-present fear of death back when it existed.

"When I was working on it, the story spoke to some of the stuff that's really core to what I like to write about, and some of the fears that keep me up," said writer Snyder, whose credits include Batman, American Vampire, and The Wake. "Even more than that, it was working with Jeff, realizing that he has a place that he goes to in his graphic novels that's intensely personal and meditative and exploratory. And I realized if I was working him, and we don't get many chances to do that, I wanted it to be that way too, and really go as deep and personal as I could. It's emotionally autobiographical material, and I just wanted to be as open on the page as I could."
