6 Facts About Han Solo’s (First) Wife

Production is gearing up on the next Star Wars Anthology film, which will explore the early, pre-Episode IV years of Han Solo. So far, Alden Ehrenreich is the only actor confirmed to be appearing in the film. However, this week rumors surfaced that Tessa Thompson, Naomi Scott and Zoe Kravitz are the frontrunners to play the female lead. That's fueled speculation that said female lead will be Sana Starros, Han Solo's first wife.

Not familiar with Sana? Didn't know Han had a wife before he met Princess Leia? As we wait for more details on the Han Solo movie, we figured now would be a good time to explore this recent addition to the Star Wars mythos and what she can bring to the movies.

Sony Is Already Selling PSVR at a Profit

Released today, Sony is already selling its PlayStation VR unit at a profit, according to Sony Interactive Entertainment President Shawn Layden.

"We’re making money on the VR console," Layden told Polygon, though he didn't elaborate much further. Similarly, the PlayStation 4 was profitable for Sony less than a year after its release in 2013.

PSVR is on track to be a success for the company and is already estimated to sell more than 2 million units by the end of 2016. Amazon announced yesterday it would have limited amounts of the launch bundle and core headset available at launch of people who didn't pre-order.

Doctor Strange Director on Marvel’s Villain Problem

Marvel films have a villain problem, something that's been discussed again and again as the Marvel Cinematic Universe has evolved. While the film series has spawned beloved superheroes and interesting antagonists like Loki and Thanos, it's also had a trend of producing forgettable single-movie villains (Malekith, Ronan, Yellowjacket, Abomination, etc.) that serve more as a way to elevate the film's titular Avenger and push them a step closer to their superhero allies than offer any sort of actual threat.

Kingdom Hearts Director Says HD Compilations Contain Message About Kingdom Hearts 3

The box art for Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix, and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue were designed with several secrets linking them together, and to Kingdom Hearts III, director Tetsuya Nomura has revealed.

In an interview with Dengeki PlayStation, translated by KH13.com, Nomura explains that the designs of these three illustrations were made to work together to show the passage of time and evolution of Sora's character.

Nintendo Has a Storage Room Filled With Old Consoles

Nintendo has released several photos that offer a sneak peek at one of its storage rooms in Japan, which is home to an impressive assortment of classic gaming hardware.

Check out the gallery below to see a whole bunch of Nintendo systems mint and in-box, including the original Famicom and the Famicom Disk System, as well as a working Famicom Disk System Disk Writer, which Kotaku notes was a kiosk designed by Nintendo to write games to blank disks.

Pokken Tournament Arcade Version Adds Scizor to Roster

The arcade version of Pokken Tournament is receiving another playable fighter, as Scizor has just been announced as the next addition to the game's roster.

According to Nintendo Everything, the character was revealed during a livestream broadcast that aired in Japan. Check out the announcement trailer below to see Scizor in action.

Scizor will become playable in the arcade version of Pokken Tournament starting October 20. Additionally, players will be able to evolve the character into Mega Scizor. There's no word on if or when the Pokemon will be added to the Wii U version's roster.

Comic Book Reviews for October 12, 2016

The Marvel NOW relaunch got a little bigger this week thanks to new books like The Clone Conspiracy #1, Mosaic #1 and Solo #1, but the biggest Marvel release was the series finale of Darth Vader. DC delivered a terrific new chapter of All-Star Batman, kicked off their Lost Boys sequel and wrapped up the "Night of the Monster Men" crossover. And Image unleashed many of its big guns this week, from Black Science #25 to Kill or be Killed #3 to Monstress #7.
