PS4 Pro ‘Not the Start of a New Console Generation’
Sony's enhanced version of PlayStation 4 isn't ushering in a new console generation, according to PS4 Pro lead system architect Mark Cerny.
"PS4 Pro is not the start of a new console generation, nor is it a console that's going to blur the lines between generations," Cerny said during Sony's PlayStation Meeting post-show livestream.
Cerny also spoke to the excitement amongst the industry for PlayStation 4 Pro, noting that "developers and publishers have been very quick to adopt the new platform."
PlayStation 4 Pro releases on November 10 for $399 and will "stand alongside and complement the original PS4" with 4K and HDR capabilities.
