Sausage Party Director Heads Up Toxic Avenger Remake
Conrad Vernon, who co-directed the decidedly non-kid friendly Sausage Party, is taking on the re-imagining of cult classic Toxic Avenger.
For those concerned about the purity of the Toxic Avenger franchise, Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz of Troma Films are on board to executive produce. According to Variety, Archer's Mike Arnold and The Grackle's Chris Poole will handle writing duties on the movie.
Chances are if you're familiar with Toxic Avenger, you're familiar with Troma Films. If not, Troma is known for its low-budget, B-movies, of which Toxic Avenger is perhaps its greatest hit. Other notable Troma movies include Surf Nazis Must Die, Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D., and of course the five Toxic Avenger movies.

Twitch Chat Beats a Chess Grandmaster

Twitch vs Pure Chess Grandmaster ran for four hours on September 9 and spanned three matches. During the event, Twitch users voted for chess commands using the Twitch chat. In the first match, which went on for two hours, Williams was able to secure a win, though Twitch chat was no slouch. In the second match, Williams was blindfolded while playing, relying only on Ripstone employee Mike Rose to read moves to him. He won that one, too.
