Sonic Mania Collector’s Edition Hits All the Nostalgia Notes
Sonic Mania's newly revealed collector's edition is a beautiful dream of retro-fueled Sonic nostalgia.
The $70 edition includes a 12-inch classic Sonic statue set atop a SEGA Genesis base. The base has a power switch which, when activated, plays the classic "SEGA!" start up sound from the days when Sonic vs. Mario rivalry was the video game version of hip-hop's East Coast/West Coast beef.
Tacoma’s Opening is Smart, Beautiful, and Spooky
The opening minutes of Tacoma build upon the core tenets of Gone Home in a smart, effective, and fantastic way. The second game from developer Fullbright, Tacoma keeps the intimate storytelling of its predecessor, but expands the scope of its cast, as well as the manner in which you discover the threads of the game’s events.
Tacoma begins with a familiar problem: three days ago, something bad happened aboard a space station, and its crew of six are nowhere to be found. It’s your job to explore the abandoned vessel and piece together what went wrong, how the crew dealt with it, and where they are now. Like Gone Home, it's equal parts mysterious, spooky, and melancholic.
25 Super Cute Pokemon Nail Art Designs
If you love showing off your nerdy passions, nail art can be a great way to so. All you need is a dotter, thin brushes, peel off nail glue, a lot of patience, and a multitude of items to bedazzle and paint your nails. You also need an exceptionally steady hand to master the tiny surfaces. Exhibit "Pokemon Gallery" below will show you just how tiny we're talking. The fine detail it takes is both impressive and dreadfully intimidating.
Last week we featured Harley Quinn nails. This week, it's time for the very best Pokemon. From Squirtles to Charmanders, scroll through to find your favorites!

Blair Witch Writer Likens Secrecy to Having an Affair
I recently chatted with Blair Witch screenwriter Simon Barrett about working on the Adam Wingard-directed sequel to the groundbreaking original 1999 film, The Blair Witch Project. Barrett spoke at length about the extent to which they managed to keep the film -- which shot under the title The Woods -- a secret until its true identity was revealed during fan screenings at July's San Diego Comic-Con.
Be advised some SPOILERS about the film lie ahead ...
IGN: Earlier this year, we had 10 Cloverfield Lane, another stealth sequel that nobody seemed to see coming, and then, boom, we get it again with Blair Witch. How did you guys manage to keep this one under wraps?

Supernatural’s 9 Best Villains
Dean and Sam Winchester have been in the business of fighting the weird and unusual for 11 seasons of Supernatural so far, with Season 12 just around the corner. They were raised to be hunters, so you could say they've been entrenched in their profession for most of their lives. The pilot episode saw the brothers fighting to take down a single ghost. The Season 11 finale saw them bag hundreds -- maybe thousands -- of ghosts at a time and give God a helping hand. They've come a long way.
Their many battles with the bad, worse, and the absolute worst have made the Winchesters more capable, though defeating the things that go bump in the night has required sacrifice and resurrection and a whole lot of spilled blood. Various beings with villainous intent have tried to take down the hunters but they haven't succeeded. Still, several of them have given Sam and Dean hell.
2 New Toys-to-Life Games Aiming at Older Audiences
Skylanders and Lego Dimensions continue to perform well for younger players but with the demise of Disney Infinity there is a question mark whether the toys-to-life experiment is in decline.
Unless you’ve been on another planet the last few years you’ll be familiar with these games that use plastic figures to unlock in-game content by placing them on a portal peripheral. Progress in the game is then saved back to the toy with no buttons or wires.
Five years on and with these young players out growing these experiences the race is on to create the next craze for the toys-to-life generation, as well as expand its demographic to mainstream gamers.
