Sony Boss: No Man’s Sky Didn’t Have ‘A Great PR Strategy’

President of Sony Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida has said that while he enjoyed No Man's Sky, he understands why many players felt let down by the game, and puts that down Hello Games' PR strategy.

"I understand some of the criticisms especially

Sean Murray is getting," he said to Eurogamer, "because he sounded like he was promising more features in the game from day one.

"It wasn't a great PR strategy, because he didn't have a PR person helping him, and in the end he is an indie developer."

Famously, Murray had mentioned features like multiplayer before the game's launch, but they appeared not to make it into the initial release of the game, leading some to request refunds after the game didn't meet their expectations.

Kristen Bell on the “Non-Reality” of The Good Place

Kristen Bell’s most recent series, House of Lies, may have just finished its five-season run this summer, but the busy actress is quickly returning to TV screens with the new NBC comedy, The Good Place, debuting this coming Monday. Created by Mike Schur -- co-creator of Parks and Recreation and Brooklyn Nine-Nine -- The Good Place finds Schur delving into more metaphysical/supernatural terrain with his comedy, in this story of Eleanor (played by Bell), who has died as the series has begin.

But there’s good news for Eleanor in the form of the Good Place of the title. It seems she’s one of the lucky ones sent to the afterlife you very much hope to go to, rather than the dark alternative. The bad news? Eleanor shouldn’t be there. She’s been mistaken for someone else, someone who lived a much better, kinder life than Eleanor did. And now Eleanor needs to figure out a way not to be found out.

First Battlefield 1 DLC Map Detailed

Battlefield 1's first DLC map will go live as part of a free update in December, developer DICE announced. The map—called Giant's Shadow—places players in the 1918 Battle of the Selle.

Giant's Shadow takes players out of the trenches and into the "open country where a massive crashed airship casts its shadow onto the battlefield," according to a description on the Battlefield 1 website.

"Fierce infantry and tank engagements ensue on the open ground and river banks alongside the Cateu-Wassigny railway where an armored train can still turn the tide."

Battlefield 1 will be released on October 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It's proven itself a success already, earning the title of biggest beta in Electronic Arts' history. A staggering 13.2 million players entered the Battlefield 1 open beta, Electronic Arts announced.

We recently spoke to writer-director Taika Waititi about his new film Hunt for the Wilderpeople, and while we had the New Zealander cornered, took the opportunity to ask him about the movie he’s currently shooting, Thor Ragnarok. And more specifically, Darryl Jacobson. Now you might remember Darryl from the following vid….

So we asked for a bit more detail about the mystery man. “Thor briefly rented a room in a flat in Australia after the Ultron debacle” explained Waititi. “Just to get some downtime – to get away from The Avengers, to get away from America. So he had a little downtime in Australian. And he met this guy Darryl and they shared a flat together. So that’s Darryl.”
