Amazon Orders The Tick, More to Series
The Tick, Jean-Claude Van Johnson and I Love Dick have received full series orders by Amazon, after the pilots for all three comedies performed well during their trial run for Prime subscribers last month.
Announced via a press release today, Amazon has revealed that the trio of upcoming shows will premiere exclusively through the company's Prime Video service sometime next year for those in the United States and the U.K., as well as in Germany, Austria, and Japan.
Amazon's aforementioned trial run in August proved to be incredibly successful, serving as the company's most-watched season for comedy pilots in the history of Prime Video.
"These pilots were vast in scope, disruptive in tone, challenging in story and sometimes even funny," Amazon Studios Half-Hour Series head Joe Lewis said in a statement accompanying the announcement. "It’s rewarding to see customers embrace them in such a huge way."

15 Cool Things We Learned on the Set of Doctor Strange
Earlier this year I visited a series of large buildings that stood beside a dank wood in Surrey, England.
Inside was Kamar-Taj, an ancient training academy tasked with preparing the next generation of sorcerers. This is where Doctor Strange was learning his craft and becoming a Master of the Mystic Arts.
Below is a collection of interesting things I learned that day, from Kevin Feige, the film's director Scott Derrickson, and Strange himself, Benedict Cumberbatch. Some are rather big, relating to Strange's standing in the MCU and possible sequel ideas, while others are little tidbits that I thought were cool.
Doctor Strange represents a new type of hero within the Marvel Universe. One adjective that kept coming up was ‘lonely’.
How FIFA 17’s Rankings Are Calculated
Michael Mueller-Moehring, the man behind calculating the ratings of every player in EA's FIFA 17, has explained how it's done.
In an interview with ESPN FC, Mueller-Moehring goes into detail over how the 18,000 players in the game stack up against each other.
"We guess a little bit... until our people have seen the player in action," Mueller-Moehring said. This team is comprised of 9,000 members, including professional scouts as well as season-ticket holders of clubs around the world.
These people then submit the feedback on players to EA. "We have many leagues in the game; no stats provider could offer us data for all these leagues, teams and players," Mueller-Moehring said. "This is also the reason why we use this online database, because it's not possible to buy this data some way -- it just doesn't exist."

Hello, Here’s a 50 Billion Pixel Screenshot of The Witness
It would take over 6,000 4K screens to display a single screenshot of The Witness taken by the fine people at Gigapixel Gaming. Why would anyone do this? I don't know. Am I glad they did? Most definitely.
Using Nvidia tool Ansel - which can capture screenshots in gigapixel chunks - they've created a 367200×130560 image of Jonathan Blow and Co's vibrant island landscape.
Michel Ancel Seemingly Teasing Beyond Good & Evil 2
Since a certain 2008 teaser trailer, talk of Ubisoft's in-development projects has continuously circled around whether Beyond Good & Evil 2 - a sequel to the critically acclaimed but commercially shunned 2003 adventure - would ever see the light of day.
The first game's creator, Michel Ancel is currently working on his own indie project, Wild, as well as a game for Ubisoft, with CEO Yves Guillemot confirming that the project was indeed a Beyond Good and Evil sequel.
Smallville Available to Stream for The First Time Next Saturday
All ten seasons of Smallville are coming to Hulu on Saturday, October 1st, marking the first time ever the series has been available to stream.
Smallville, which starred Tom Welling as a young Clark Kent before he became Superman, ran from 2001 to 2011. Its first five seasons aired on The WB before that network merged with UPN to create The CW, where the series finished out its ten-year run over five additional seasons.
While Netflix has become the streaming home for CW series in recent years, the deal between the two companies was struck after Smallville ended, allowing Hulu to secure the streaming rights for the series from Warner Bros. TV, who produced and own Smallville.
