Stranger Things’ Cast Terrified During VR Experience
Netflix has brought Stranger Things to life by turning its popular TV series into a VR experience, and the show's cast and creators were completely terrified when they took it for a spin.
Watch co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer, as well as stars Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Millie Bobby Brown react to living out one of Stranger Things' scariest scenes in virtual reality in Netflix's new video below.
A second season for Stranger Things hasn't officially been announced, but the Duffer brothers already have a few things in mind for the series. In fact, the show's creators have expressed interest in making a video game to bridge the story between seasons.
Hayley Atwell on Whether Agent Carter Could Return
Hayley Atwell is keen to step back into Peggy Carter's shoes, despite the cancellation of Marvel's Agent Carter after its second season.
Speaking with reporters at the Television Critics Association panel for her new ABC series Conviction (via Slashfilm), Atwell said she would happily manage both series if ABC would let her.
“I think they would have figured something out in terms of making a special or waiting until we finish this season and then me doing something else with another network perhaps,” Atwell said. “All I’m saying with that is it’s still a much-loved show for the people involved in the making of it and we know that the fans, it has a special place in their hearts. That’s something that I would be very happy to go back to if the opportunity came.”

Pokemon Go Dev “Actively” Fixing Tracking, Catching Issues
Niantic has heard your issues with recent Pokemon Go bugs, and is actively working on resolving them.
The developer posted a lengthy blog post that largely focused on why they shut down third party trackers (more on that in a bit), and in it mentioned the problem with Pokemon Go's "Nearby" functionality. Originally the game had a three-step tracking system that allowed players to gauge how close they were to a Pokemon. But when a bug caused all Pokemon to stick at being a three-step distance away, Niantic removed the feature entirely in its most recent update.
‘Majority of the Team at Bungie’ Working on Destiny 2
During Activision's second quarter earnings call and investor Q&A, Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg revealed that the bulk of Bungie's focus has shifted to the upcoming Destiny sequel.
"The majority of the team at Bungie is actually focused entirely on creating Destiny 2," Hirshberg said during the call when asked for an update on Destiny's future.
Hirshberg didn't elaborate more on what is in the works for the game, but he reconfirmed that the sequel is on track for a release in 2017, as Activision previously stated earlier this year.
Before the upcoming Destiny sequel releases, however, the first game will see its next major expansion from Bungie later this year with Rise of Iron. Hirshberg noted that pre-orders for Rise of Iron are ahead of Destiny's 2015 expansion, The Taken King.
Prey Looks Like A Mix Of Bioshock and Dishonored
After its surprise announcement at E3 2016, we learned a bit more about Arkane Studios' re-imagining of Prey a week ago when the studio's president, Raphael Colantonio, broke silence and talked about some of the core pillars of Prey's gameplay. Today at QuakeCon 2016's keynote address though, Colantonio took the stage with lead designer Ricardo Bare and blew the doors wide open with a detailed gameplay presentation that reminded me of the original Bioshock in a lot of the best ways, but with a dash of the Arkane magic that made Dishonored such a break-out hit.
First things first: any ideas that this would be a reboot, or spiritual successor to the original Prey are now well in the rearview mirror, not just because Colantonio has already said as much, but because this gameplay demo (which was shown only to QuakeCon attendees) departs immediately from its predecessor, both visually and mechanically.
The Walking Dead: New Negan Photos Released
In anticipation of The Walking Dead's return this October, AMC has released a batch of new photos teasing what's to come in Season 7.
Get a new look at Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan, who's returning as a series regular, as well as Morgan Jones as Lennie James, Khary Payton as Ezekiel and several others in the gallery below.

AMC unveiled the trailer for Season 7 last month at San Diego Comic-Con. There the network confirmed that Khary Payton will star as Ezekiel and that his audition blew Robert Kirkman away.
Supergirl: Jurassic World Actress Cast as Lena Luthor
Supergirl: Season 2 has found its Lena Luthor in Jurassic World actress Katie McGrath.
According to TVLine, McGrath -- known for Merlin, besides her memorably prolonged death in last year's Jurassic sequel -- will appear as the "beautiful, powerful and enigmatic" sister of Lex Luthor in a recurring capacity.

Michael Jordan Wants This NBA Star for Space Jam 2
While LeBron James is reportedly set to star in Space Jam 2, NBA legend Michael Jordan would rather see Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers in the lead role.
Jordan, who starred in the original Space Jam, shared his top choice for the role in an Instagram video by House of Highlights (via ScreenRant).
According to reports back in May, Justin Lin—the director behind Star Trek Beyond and several Fast and the Furious movies—was said to be in negotiations to helm the live-action/animation hybrid sequel with LeBron James as the movie's leading man.
Kiefer Sutherland’s New Series is West Wing Meets Homeland
24's Kiefer Sutherland returns to TV thriller territory in ABC's upcoming Designated Survivor, playing a lower Cabinet member, Tom Kirkman, who gets sworn in as president after an explosion claims the lives of the acting president and everyone above him in the chain of succession.
Sutherland, along with co-stars and creators, appeared at the Television Critics Association summer press tour to answer a few questions about the new series. "I think there are a few tones at play in the show," revealed executive producer Jon Harmon Feldman (Blood & Oil). "I do think there is a West Wing component of a man governing and his team governing our nation at this critical time. There's also the, if you will, Homeland aspect of an investigation into the conspiracy. And it's also got a House of Cards component, which is the characters and the business of government through the eyes of these characters and the political dealings and dealmakers."
