Zack Snyder Directed a Suicide Squad Scene
Zack Snyder was more involved with Suicide Squad than fans may have suspected, as the Batman v Superman director (and executive producer on Suicide Squad) actually helmed a scene in Warner Bros.' new movie.
Warning: Suicide Squad spoilers ahead.
In an interview with Collider, director David Ayer revealed that Snyder was behind the camera for the scene in which Ezra Miller's The Flash has a cameo. The scene depicts a flashback during which The Flash brings a stop to a bank robbery instigated by Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney).
18 New Things We Learned About Quake Champions
For a convention that bears the franchise's name, QuakeCon doesn't feature a new Quake game all that often, so when id Software's Creative Director, Tim Willits took the stage during the keynote yesterday to show off Quake Champions to the practically rabid Dallas crowd, it was a moment.
In a rare move for QuakeCon, the first gameplay trailer (which you can find below if you haven't seen it yet) was released to the public, and it showcases the speed, mobility, and level design fans have come to expect from the series over the years.
What wasn't shown to the public, was the part of the presentation where Willits shared some key new bits of info. But don't worry, I'm going to spill it all for you right now. Here's everything I learned about Quake Champions at QuakeCon 2016.
The Top 10 The OC Episodes
In its heyday, The OC wasn't just a TV series; it was a phenomenon. Debuting on FOX in the Summer of 2003, the Josh Schwartz-produced show hit the ground running with its unique blend of jaw-dropping soap opera and playful humor, and it never let up. Granted, there were some low points in the middle of its 92-episode run, but that didn't stop it from finishing strong.
In the end, The OC was a love letter to the mid-2000s -- a brief window of time before smartphones dominated modern society -- but it still holds up even now.
With the show's 13th anniversary this week -- it debuted on August 5th, 2003 -- and all of the episodes now available on the CW Seed digital service, we're taking a look back at The OC and have compiled our Top 10 Episodes list. Be sure to give us your favorites in the comments below!
Monster Hunter Generations Gets Zelda, Okami DLC Today
Capcom is releasing the first of its free monthly DLC for Monster Hunter Generations today. First up is a pack that gives the Felyne characters a new look based on Amaterasu from Okami, as well as the option to dress up like Link from The Legend of Zelda: The Winder Waker.
Both gear sets can be equipped to Felynes in either of two modes: as AI support companions for hunters (Palicoes) or directly controlled by players (Prowler mode). Additionally, the Monster Hunter Generations DLC will include 10 new quests, along with armor sets and weapons for hunters and Felynes.
DLC for Monster Hunter Generations will be released monthly, for free. The new content will continue on monthly through early 2017.
Top 10 Movie Sequels That Never Should Have Existed
Sequels are an accepted reality of the Hollywood landscape. Though we see a proliferation of sequels dominating the box office, they're also nothing new to the industry. As franchises become the biggest money makers for studios, there has been a marked shift toward films just being one chapter in a larger story.
But there's something to be said for a movie that can stand on its own. It's often easy to recognize a project that should end when that filmmaker decides to roll the end credits. That didn't stop other people from deciding to take a crack at some of these films, though, no matter how unwarranted that crack might have been. To steal from the immortal words of Dr. Ian Malcolm, Hollywood was so preoccupied with whether it could, it didn't stop to think if it should. Here are 10 movie sequels that never should have seen the light of day.
SHIELD’s Chloe Bennet Previews Season 4 and Daisy on Her Own
Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) has evolved a lot since Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD began -- well beyond simply finding out her real name (farewell, “Skye”) -- as she discovered she was actually an Inhuman with incredible abilities that can cause earthquakes.
Season 3 ended with Daisy leaving behind SHIELD entirely, with an epilogue set months later showing the team trying to bring her in, and Daisy now referred to as “Quake” (her comic book alias) by the media for the first time, and apparently a wanted woman.
