FOX in “Significant Talks” For New X-Files, Responds to Criticism of the Revival
Dana Walden, chairman and CEO of FOX Television Group, and David Madden, president of entertainment for FOX Broadcasting Company, were on hand for questions about The X-Files at the recent Television Critics Association press tour.
"We would obviously love to do another season," said Madden. "There are significant talks going on with all three of the principals. Schedules are hard, but we are working hard to get this done, and we would love to get another season out soon."
In response to a question about criticism leveled at the recent revival, Madden said "I actually think that the six episodes were strong. We worked hard with Chris on the previous season. The episodes represent Chris and his team's vision."
Resident Evil 7 Reveals First Look at Returning Green Herbs
Capcom is going back to its green, herbaceous roots with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
The developer has whipped the cloak off a redesigned bunch of leafy plants as part of its Resident Evil Ambassador programme, which shares regular updates on the game's progress with fans.
The game's producer Masachika Kawata confirmed to IGN back in June that the Resi staple would be making a comeback, but this is our first official glimpse at the green herbs.
“Take a first look at the healing items in the game! Oh wait… what’s this coin doing here?” reads the Capcom newsletter, which shows a little gold coin sat beside a medicine bottle.
Cheat At Overwatch Lucioball And Be Punished, Warns Blizzard
Blizzard has issued some earnest advice for anybody looking to take advantage of a bizarre Lucioball glitch: Don't.
Last week we reported on a new Overwatch game mode that allows players to compete in a Rocket League-esque arena. Dubbed Lucioball, the 3v3 matches are designed to be played using only eponymous character, and only him.
However, an as-yet-unfixed bug means that some players have worked out how to import other characters like Bastion and D.Va into the game.
Now Blizzard has publicly voiced its displeasure that some of its audience is not playing ball.

Jared Leto Wants His Joker to Battle Superman
Jared Leto has been talking about his desire to see The Joker do battle with Superman onscreen, stating that the Crown Prince of Crime would relish facing off against the Man of Steel.
We spoke to Leto while he was doing the promotion rounds for Suicide Squad, and asked what his version of the super-villain would make of Superman.
“Ah, 'Who?' That would probably be his answer. 'Super-who? Superboy? He sounds cute. Tights? A cape?' "
“Superman seems like a lot of fun though for the Joker. The Joker and Superman would be interesting to see onscreen because Superman’s so stoic and morally centred. I think that the Joker would really enjoy that. Superman is just the classic hero and the Joker opposite any her would be really interesting.”
Last Witch Hunter Director Up for Friday the 13th

According to Deadline, the director behind The Crazies and The Last Witch Hunter is currently in talks with the studio to join the project, which will open in theaters sometime next year.
Coincidentally, Paramount was headed up by the filmmaker's father Michael Eisner when the studio acquired the film rights to the iconic horror franchise many years ago.
Pokemon Go Update Re-Enables iOS Battery Saver Feature
Niantic Labs has re-instated the battery saver feature for Pokemon Go players on iOS with the game's latest update, while also introducing a host of other changes for both Android and iOS users. Most notably, a new variation of the "Nearby Pokemon" feature is being tested.
The battery saving option allows players to turn their iOS devices upside down, darkening the screen but allowing the app to continue tracking for nearby Pokemon while it continues to run.
Earlier this month, Niantic revealed that the studio was working on returning the battery saver option while also continuing the game's worldwide rollout, specifically to Latin America. That update from the developer also detailed the alleged leak of legendary Pokemon appearing in people's accounts, which Niantic said it had "revoked."
