Lance Henriksen Joins Legends of Tomorrow: Season 2
IGN has learned Lance Henriksen is joining the cast of Legends of Tomorrow for its sophomore season.
The actor, perhaps best recognized for his role as the android Bishop in the Alien series, is set to take on the part of Justice Society of America member Obsidian.
The Obsidian casting news follows the recent reveal Power Rangers movie star Sarah Grey is joining the cast as Stargirl, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers will play Vixen.
Supergirl: Season 2 Adds Miss Martian and Mon-El
Supergirl Season 2 will add two new characters to the DC television universe—Miss Martian and Mon-El. Hellcats' Sharon Leal will play Miss Martian, with Containment's Chris Wood (who was previously announced to be joining Supergirl in Season 2) as Mon-El.
Miss Martian is a relatively new character in the world of DC. She was first introduced in 2006's Teen Titans #37. Like Supergirl, she was sent to Earth at a young age (but from Mars, just like the Martian Manhunter), so it seems like her story might parallel Supergirl's a bit. Mon-El, for those unfamiliar, is a superhero with powers similar to Superman.

What Vader and This New Character Have in Common
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's Saw Gerrera has a few similarities to Darth Vader—and it's not only fans who've noticed, actor Forest Whitaker has confirmed.
For one, the former allies (as seen on the Clone Wars animated series when Vader was still Anakin) both rely on technology to keep them alive. "This is his armored suit for flight, but also for maintenance," Whitaker told Entertainment Weekly. "He's been through so many conflicts and many wars, so it's also about
some of the many injuries he's had. He wears it all the time."
Like Vader, he's willing to do whatever it takes to see his side win the war. He believes in what he's done, Whitaker said. "He understands that the universe could be destroyed and worlds could be destroyed if he doesn't succeed." That's where Gerrera's ferocity comes in.
X-Men and Mad Max: Fury Road’s Zoe Kravitz Joins Fantastic Beasts
Zoe Kravitz is joining the cast of J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Kravitz has a small role in the Harry Potter spin-off, but "there's the possibility" her role could be expanded for the sequel.
Kravitz is perhaps best known for her role as Angel Salvadore in X-Men: First Class, as well as Toast the Knowing in Mad Max: Fury Road.
In spite of the fact the first movie in the series hasn't come out yet, the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel already has a November 16, 2018 release date.

IGN can exclusively reveal that The Blacklist alum Parminder Nagra will be guest starring in a multi-episode role in the coming season. Nagra will debut in episode 3, and will be playing a powerful political figure who is outspoken in her distrust of Inhumans and the threat they pose to society.

CBS’ MacGyver Reboot to Be More Character-Driven
Quite fittingly, CBS's reboot of MacGyver premieres this September following the network's successful reboot of Hawaii Five‑0 on Friday nights. Though this MacGyver, naturally, comes with a few updates. Ditching the "lone wolf" aspects of the original '80s series, a markedly younger MacGyver (Lucas Till) is now surrounded by a support team of operatives as part of a clandestine organization within the U.S. government.
Executive producer Peter Lenkov (24, Hawaii Five‑0) and director/executive producer James Wan (Saw, Furious 7, Aquaman) appeared at the Television Critics Association summer press tour to explain how they chose to bring the famous TV character into the 21st Century. "I wanted it to stand out a little bit from the original show," Lenkov said. "I wanted that character to have a family around him, people that he relies on. I feel that TV shows nowadays are very character‑driven, so I really wanted to sort of explore his character. And how do you do that? By really having him interact with people close to him."
Another Halo Wars 2 Beta Coming in Early 2017
343 Industries and Creative Assembly have announced that another beta for Halo Wars 2 will be held sometime early next year. The beta will be available for both Windows 10 and Xbox One users.
The team behind Microsoft's upcoming strategy sequel also detailed several changes and improvements that are being made to the game—in addition to the prior beta's connectivity issues, which have already been remedied for the final release.
General enhancements, included improved stability, pacing and overall game flow are being worked on, as well as adjustments to the controller layout to make for a more intuitive and faster experience for players. Likewise, Leader Powers are being tweaked so that they're easier to understand and utilize.
Why The CW Is Reviving Jim Caviezel’s Frequency as a TV Show
The CW is bringing back a familiar tale with the network's upcoming sci-fi series Frequency. Based on the 2000 film starring Jim Caviezel and Dennis Quaid, the show stars Peyton List as a woman who is able to communicate through time with her father and prevents his death, thus causing potentially disastrous ripple effects in the present.
Frequency comes from Supernatural's Jeremy Carver, who admitted during a 2016 summer TV press tour panel that he's been a fan of the film since its debut. He actually went to Frequency's 2000 Los Angeles premiere because he was friends with someone who worked on the movie, "and I loved it."
