LEGO Star Wars: Freemakers – In Defense of Battle Droids
Recently, I got to attend a press event for Disney XD's LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures and chat with Matthew Wood, who's not only the voice of R0-GR (aka "Roger") on that show but the supervising sound editor on Star Wars Rebels, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Episode VIII. He was also the voice of General Grievous in Episode III and on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, plus a smattering of other characters (including the battle droids) across the Star Wars saga.
During our chat, we talked about Wood's sympathy for battle droids, editing sound on the new Star Wars movies, and the awesomeness that is LEGO...

10 Outrageous JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Cosplay
Anime Expo is going on right now, and that means there's a ton of awesome cosplay on display. We grabbed a few JoJo's Bizarre Adventure cosplayers and got their photos during the event.
Anime Expo runs through July 4th, and if you're an anime fan, there's plenty of news to be found. Distributor Crunchyroll is releasing a ton of anime titles on Blu-ray and DVD, and Sentai Filmworks is dubbing Food Wars and many other series for Western release.
Monster Musume, Food Wars, Himotou! Umaru-chan Getting Dubs
During its Anime Expo panel, Sentai Filmworks announced it's releasing English dubs for seven shows.
Ushio and Tora, GATE, Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Himōto! Umaru-chan, Amagi Brilliant Park, Monster Musume, and Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? will all be dubbed in English. Sentai Filmworks has not announced a release date for the dubs.
Anime Expo 2016 is taking place this weekend—from July 1 to July 4. Earlier this week, it was announced that anime streaming service Crunchyroll will release a bunch of English-dubbed series, including Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and and Berserk.
Pixar Has No Sequels Planned After 2019
It doesn't look like a sequel to Inside Out or WALL-E will be happening anytime soon, as Pixar confirmed it has no current plans for any sequels after the release of The Incredibles 2 in 2019.
In an interview with EW, Pixar president Jim Morris said the studio wants to focus on creating more original content instead of continuing to build on existing franchises, telling the outlet that "everything after Toy Story and The Incredibles is an original right now."
Pixar's next sequel, Cars 3, releases in June of next year, which will be followed by Toy Story 4 in 2018 and The Incredibles 2 the year after. The studio's original plan was to "make an original every year and a sequel every other year," but the scheduling didn't work out as planned. That said, Morris noted that Pixar will still have a total of "seven sequels in a spate of 21 originals" following Disney's acquisition of the studio ten years ago.
Arrow: Cody Rhodes to Guest in Season 5
With Cody Rhodes now gone from WWE, we're never going to get the Stardust/Stephen Amell rematch we were all hoping for. But Rhodes leaving the company means that he's free to join Amell over in his world - on The CW's Arrow.
At the Heroes & Villains FanFest in New Jersey earlier today, Amell and Rhodes jointly announced that the former WWE Superstar will be guest starring in the third episode of Arrow's fifth season.

9 Delicious Dishes from Final Fantasy XV
When you play Final Fantasy XV this September, get ready to eat. While winning battles will give you experience just the way you’d expect, you’ll also earn ingredients that you can use to cook a meal each time your party rests at a camp site.
Better ingredients mean better meals – something hearty like a stew or chicken – and if you haven’t collected anything, you’ll just get a plate of toast. Either way, your crew will bond around a fire and take some time to rest after a tough day of battle.
Swipe through the gallery below to see nine of the meals you’ll be able to enjoy in Final Fantasy XV:
“Mealtime is an essential part of bringing the ‘friends on the road’ concept to life,” Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata told IGN. “As you tour the world, you’ll sample exotic local dishes together, and meals also play a significant role in gameplay: a day’s boosts are determined by what the party ate the night before. Boosts include resistance to poison, enhance stamina, attack buffs, and more, so players can prepare for the day ahead by planning their meals accordingly. As Ignis improves at cooking, he’ll add more dishes to his repertoire, offering a variety of boosts.”
So You Want to Join Starfleet?
Though it doesn’t open to the public until July 9, I recently joined a group of journalists at a preview of Star Trek: The Starfleet Academy Experience, a temporary addition to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum Complex in New York City.
The entrance to the new Starfleet Academy Experience.
The brand new exhibition was still very much a work in progress when I visited. Launched to coincide with Star Trek’s 50th anniversary, the Starfleet Academy Experience occupies a 12,000 square foot pavilion located next to the aircraft carrier Intrepid on Manhattan’s Pier 86. The goal is to give guests a taste of what it might be like to attend a Starfleet Academy career day, as well as a chance to ogle some original props and costumes from the various Star Trek TV series and films.
