New Samurai Jack Season 5 Story Details Revealed
In a behind the scenes video presented at the Toonami panel at Anime Expo, several production members working on Samurai Jack Season 5 revealed new information about Jack's return.
Samurai Jack creator and director Genndy Tartakovsky said that the new season will not have a direct connection between the last episode of the original to the new series. Instead, this new show takes place years after the original, and that's changed Jack.
“I think we're going to see
in a new light because we'e going to see him from a different standpoint," writer Darrick Bachman said. "In the original series he was very heroic person on a very rigid quest. Now we pick up with him an it's many years after the fact and he's a little bit lost. So it's a story of redemption and him trying to find who he is again."

Check Out Our Amazing Anime Expo Cosplay Gallery
We've been scouring the grounds at this weekend's Anime Expo, talking to, and taking photos of, as many cosplayers as we can.
While it may be an anime-focused event, we saw cosplayers as characters from Steven Universe, films like Escape from New York, and comics, too.
Here are some of our favorites from the show.
There was plenty of cosplay on display, and we put together a gallery of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure cosplay from awesome people we met during the event.
It's not just great cosplay coming out of Anime Expo. We got news today Attack on Titan season 2 is coming next year.

Spielberg’s The BFG Bombs at Weekend Box Office
Director Steven Spielberg's new Disney film The BFG had an underwhelming debut this weekend, placing fourth at the box office with $19.6 million.
The adaptation of Roald Dahl's beloved children's book boasted a production budget of $140 million, making its performance this weekend nothing short of a major flop for the studio.
Meanwhile, Pixar's Finding Dory held strong in first place for yet another week, earning $41.9 million. Just behind in second place was The Legend of Tarzan, which debuted to $38.1 million.
While it exceeded expectations, Variety notes The Legend of Tarzan cost $180 million to produce, so Warner Bros. will have to depend on foreign performance before determining whether or not it was a successful endeavor.

LEGO Star Wars: Freemakers – In Defense of Battle Droids
Recently, I got to attend a press event for Disney XD's LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures and chat with Matthew Wood, who's not only the voice of R0-GR (aka "Roger") on that show but the supervising sound editor on Star Wars Rebels, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Episode VIII. He was also the voice of General Grievous in Episode III and on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, plus a smattering of other characters (including the battle droids) across the Star Wars saga.
During our chat, we talked about Wood's sympathy for battle droids, editing sound on the new Star Wars movies, and the awesomeness that is LEGO...
