Next Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC Release Date Announced

Call of Duty: Black Ops III's third DLC pack, Descent, will be released on PlayStation 4 on July 12. Xbox One and PC release dates will follow.

Descent adds four multiplayer maps to Black Ops III, along with an all-new Zombies experience that continues the Origins storyline in "an alternate-U.S.S.R. universe." The Zombies chapter, Gorod Krovi, places players against a mass of mechanized zombies during a "raging battle within the remnants of Stalingrad." Oh, and there's dragons.

The new multiplayer maps — Cryogen, Berserk, Rumble, and Empire — add new locations and new gameplay strategies to the game. Here's what Treyarch has to say about them:

Naomi Plays LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Naomi here, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is out and Mark and I have decided to play it because Star Wars. Mark is also a Jedi in training but I haven't told him yet. Tune in tomorrow at 1PM PT.

Star Trek’s Rebooted Movie Timeline Gets Official Name

The alternate timeline introduced to the Star Trek universe with the release of J.J. Abrams' 2009 film reboot has finally received an official name: The Kelvin Timeline.

The name was revealed in a post on Star Trek Online (via io9), which was later confirmed on Twitter by Holly Amos of CBS Consumer Products, who said they "needed an in-universe term since we needed some way to refer to it in the encyclopedia."

After revealing Agents of Mayhem, the new character-driven, over-the-top open-world action game from the makers of Saints Row, our month of IGN First coverage is winding down. Now that you know more about the game and have seen footage of it in action (see below), we wanted to give you a chance to ask the developers anything about the game. Halo Wars 2 Beta Stats Revealed

After extending the Halo Wars 2 beta to June 22, Microsoft has released a handful of stats, noting the response they received "exceeded expectations."

In a press release, the company revealed that over 1 million matches of the RTS sequel were played, racking up over 1.2 million hours of overall game time. All of the feedback received and data pulled from the beta will "play a crucial role" in Creative Assembly's development of Halo Wars 2.

While originally set for release later this year, Microsoft announced during its E3 2016 press conference that Halo Wars 2 will instead launch for Xbox One and Windows 10 on February 21, 2017. As part of Microsoft’s new Xbox Play Anywhere initiative, those who purchase the game digitally will be able to play it across both Xbox One and PC.

The Banner Saga 2 Console Release Date Shifts

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will have a chance to dive back into The Banner Saga sooner than expected.

Originally planned for a console release on July 26, The Banner Saga 2 will now come to Xbox One on July 1 and the PlayStation 4 on July 5. The sequel was revealed earlier today as one of July's free Games With Gold titles, while a post on the PlayStation Blog announced the PS4 release date and revealed PS4 players will gain access to an exclusive in-game item, the Playful Hilt of Arnr.

President Obama Tries to Name Every Dead GoT Character

President Barack Obama has come forward to showcase his Game of Thrones know-how, attempting to name every character who's died in HBO's hit drama.

In a new video from BuzzFeed, the United States commander-in-chief takes on five tasks that are more difficult than registering to vote, including stacking Cheerios, making a friendship bracelet, untangling headphones and naming every Game of Thrones character who's died.

President Obama is no stranger to the Game of Thrones franchise, being the only person outside the show's creators who was granted early access to the episodes of Season 6.

New J.K. Rowling Story Reveals History of American Hogwarts

J.K. Rowling has released the new short story in The History of Magic in North America series.

This new short story series acts as a lead-in to the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which will hit theaters on November 18.

The latest story can be found on Pottermore and is titled Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It tells the story of the American equivalent to Hogwarts, which "stands at the highest peak of Mount Greylock."

Nickelodeon’s Retro SDCC Line-up Includes All That Reunion

Nickelodeon has announced its San Diego Comic-Con line-up.

The network will have an 1,800 square foot booth on the show floor, and will have "activations, games, panels, talent signings and interactive design elements" featuring the likes of Hey Arnold!, Rugrats, CatDog, and more.

There will be a Legends of the Hidden Temple virtual reality experience and trivia game, Hey Arnold! and Double Dare-themed photo opportunities, and autograph signings with a "cast member from All That, SpongeBob SquarePants’ Tom Kenny, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles voice talent, Kirk Fogg from Legends of the Hidden Temple, and more."

The All That reunion will have "Josh Server, Danny Tamberelli, Lori Beth Denberg and Kel Mitchell, discussing all things All That, with a few added surprises." Attendees will also get the first look at the upcoming TV movie based on Legends of the Hidden Temple, with appearances from Kirk Fogg, Dee Bradley Baker and Isabela Moner.

Final Fantasy Adventure Remake Now on PS Vita

In celebration of the Mana series' 25th anniversary, Square Enix has released Adventures of Mana for PlayStation Vita.

Earlier this year, Square's remake of the 1991 Game Boy classic Final Fantasy Adventure launched for iOS and Android users, but now those who'd prefer to play it on Sony's handheld can purchase it right now via the PlayStation Store for $14.

In addition, the publisher is discounting the mobile versions of both Adventures of Mana and Secret of Mana to commemorate the series' anniversary.

While Adventures of Mana boasts improved visuals, reworked menus and a rearranged soundtrack from Final Fantasy Adventure composer Kenji Ito, fans of the original Game Boy version will be pleased to know the background music from the original version is available as well.
