Game of Thrones: 10 Genuinely Happy (!!) Moments

Warning: Spoilers for HBO's Game of Thrones up through the episode "The Broken Man"...

Jon brought back to life by magic, Sansa and Jon reunited after spending years of turmoil apart, The Hound returning from what looked like certain death - it feels like this season of Game of Thrones is leading us toward the light (not to be confused with the Lord of Light). Whether a coincidence or not, now that the show is no longer tethered as closely to the books, or author George R. R. Martin's penchant for cruelly subverting expectations, there've been more... happier moments?

We know, it's weird. It almost feels un-Game of Thrones-ish. Of course, these upbeat events could all be leading toward a monumental, soul-crushing blow at the end of the season, but for now we can bask in a show that's not hitting us over the head with as much tragedy and trauma as usual.

BrainDead comes from Robert and Michelle King, the husband-wife duo behind the acclaimed The Good Wife. But as the title hints, BrainDead is a very different type of series - a comedic sci-fi story, in which Winstead’s Laurel, having just gone to work for her politician brother (Danny Pino ) in Washington, DC, begins to discover that several DC power players are behaving strangely for a very notable reason... Alien bugs have crawled into their heads and eaten their brains, taking control of them.
