The Conjuring 2 Trounces Warcraft at Box Office

The Conjuring 2 was the clear victor at theaters this weekend, coming in first place at the box office with $40.4 million, making it the largest North American opening for a horror film since its predecessor's release in 2013.

In addition, New Line and Warner Bros.' sequel had the all-time biggest debut for a horror movie during the month of June, as noted by THR.

Unfortunately for Legendary, the same can't be said for its new video game-inspired fantasy film Warcraft, which debuted in second place to an underwhelming $24.4 million, falling far short of its massive $160 million budget.

Link Scales a Cliff Side in Zelda Wii U Promo Art

New The Legend of Zelda Wii U artwork has debuted, showcasing Link climbing a cliff side.

The image includes Link scaling to new heights in the foreground, with the landscape sprawling out behind him.

Amazon posted the artwork on the game's page today ahead of Nintendo's plans to showcase the title as its marquee E3 title. Nintendo will showcase gameplay during the company's livestream Treehouse: Live. The next Legend of Zelda is currently set to be the only game playable at Nintendo's E3 booth.

Titanfall 2 Release Date, Single-Player Campaign Confirmed

Prior to its press conference, the Titanfall 2 trailer leaked, revealing that the game will launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28, 2016.

Titanfall 2 will also feature a single-player campaign for the first time, putting you in the shoes of soldier Jack Cooper, accompanied by a sentient robot companion.

The original Titanfall was exclusive to Xbox One at launch, later coming to Xbox 360 and PC, but never available on PlayStation 4.

Ultimate Spider-Man Actor Talks About THAT Major Twist

If you watched the new episode of Ultimate Spider-Man Sunday morning -- and I sincerely hope you did since you've now crossed into spoiler territory (final warning!) -- then you know that Spidey's close ally Ben, aka Scarlet Spider, revealed himself to be a traitor and spy for Doctor Octopus! Not only that, but he revealed Peter Parker's secret identity to the tentacle-wielding villain, thus ensuring his place in the new Sinister Seven.

Batman: The Telltale Series’ First Screens, Cast Revealed

Telltale has released the first screens from its Batman series.They show a style that Telltale describes as “a living, breathing comic book”

The images highlight Wayne Manor, the Batmobile, Bruce Wayne in and out of costume, as well as Catwoman. The split between shots of Batman and shots of Bruce is in line with Telltale’s goal of creating a game that focuses on both, with player decisions shaping the city Bruce encounters in daylight, and the criminals Batman encounters at night. Take a look at the screens below.

With these images came the announcement of the game’s core cast, with Troy Baker (The Last of Us) as Bruce Wayne, Laura Bailey (Tales From the Borderlands) as Selina Kyle, Travis Willingham (Ratchet & Clank) as Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette (Oxenfree) as Vicki Vale, Enn Reitel (Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots) as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyer (Red Dead Redemption) as Lieutenant James Gordon, and Richard McGonagle (Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End) as Carmine Falcone.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew Teased Ahead of Monday Reveal

The first details on Ubisoft and Red Storm Entertainment's upcoming Star Trek virtual reality game have been reveled.

According to ABC News, the game, titled Star Trek: Bridge Crew, is a four-player experience that puts players in the shoes of the captain, or one of the tactical, engineering or helm officers on the starship Aegis.

Players use a VR headset and handheld controllers to interact within Bridge Crew's 360-degree visual experience, having the ability do various tasks like "activating the warp drive, scanning foreign objects in space and broadcasting relevant imagery to the ship's viewscreen."

While most people's minds are on E3, the Mortal Kombat X community was definitely paying attention to the ESL Grand Finals. Injustice 2 Won’t Feature Fatalities, Roster Possibly Outed

NetherRealm Studios' recently announced sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us won't feature fatalities.

In an interview with IGN, creative director Ed Boon confirmed Injustice 2's lack of fatalities and also addressed Mortal Kombat X's inclusion of Easy Fatalities, saying "it was a very successful feature in the game, it was hugely successful."

After bringing that to light, Boon was quick to assure fans the studio "will never switch to just one-button fatalities, where a fatality doesn't mean anything."

Additionally, the Mortal Kombat co-creator posted a photo on Twitter of the Injustice 2 t-shirts that will be given away at the Season 3 ESL Mortal Kombat finals this weekend. Upon close inspection, the shirt contains several superhero logos that may offer a few hints as to who will be included in Injustice 2's roster.

HBO’s Westworld Looks Amazing

As part of the "Westerns: Then and Now" panel at the ATX TV festival in Austin this weekend - which included participants from Justified and Hell on Wheels - Jonathan Nolan (The Dark Knight, Person of Interest) and Lisa Joy (Pushing Daisies, Burn Notice) debuted a new sizzle reel for their upcoming HBO series Westworld, based on the Michael Crichton movie about a theme park where guests interact with lifelike robots, inside a detailed recreation of the wild west.

The sizzle reel was great and clearly went over big with the ATX audience, who gave it an enthusiastic response. While it was only screened for those in attendance, and is not being released publicly right now, a description of the footage follows:
