Gears of War 4 Will Have a Mature Language Filter
Studio head of The Coalition, Rod Fergusson has said Gears of War 4 will once again have a gore and explicit language filter.
In an interview with Game Informer (thanks Gamespot), Fergusson talked about how the developer goes about deciding how to censor its own content.
"Gore is important for obvious reasons, and swearing is too," said Fergusson. "...generally what we tend to do is take the hardest of the hard off because we didn't want to 'over-bleepify' our game... We tend to look at what's on radio and we tend to go a bit further than that."
We Spent a Week With Star Fox Zero
What’s it like to play Star Fox Zero for a week? The short answer is pretty fun. This February, we brought you up to speed on what's changed in Star Fox Zero since E3. For this preview, I decided to chart my voyage through the war torn Lylatt system and tell you as much as I can about using two screens to pilot an Arwing, the benefits of co-op play, the different vehicles controls, and more.
The most important skill necessary to succeed as a pilot in Nintendo’s new Star Fox game is, believe it or not, the ability to multi-task. The controls split your attention between a ship view on the TV and a cockpit view on the GamePad. It's a demanding setup, but it’s also an interesting concept. Once you gain the confidence to gracefully bounce from one screen to the other you can show off some slick skills, as you shoot down enemy aircraft. It took me (roughly) two-hours of flight time to really understand this two-screen piloting system, but I feel like a better pilot for it.
Nintendo Details Amiibo Use in Star Fox Zero
Nintendo has detailed how amiibo will work in Star Fox Zero.
Plonking down a Falco amiibo unlocks a Black Arwing, while Fox opens up a SNES-style Arwing for play. Super FX chip FTW!
The whole video’s worth a watch as it showcases how the different vehicle types work in Star Fox Zero, as well as explaining how Star Fox Guard plays, which, by the looks of it, is Tower Defence meets Five Nights at Freddy’s.
If you’re holding out for an Arwing amiibo, then we’ve got some bad news for you. In a recent interview, Nintendo producer Shigeru Miyamoto told IGN it’s not gonna happen.
PlayStation 3.50 Update Out Tomorrow, Adds PC Remote Play
The next system software update for PlayStation 4, version 3.50, is out tomorrow, and it's bringing a bunch of new features.
The update will expand the Remote Play capabilities to include PC and Mac. It's compatible with Windows 8.1 and 10, and OS X 10.10 and 10.11, and you'll be able to choose 360p, 540p or 720p resolutions, and either 30 or 60fps.
New friends list options allow you to enable notifications when your friends come online. You can also now schedule user events, so you can organize play sessions with your friends. When you send out the event invite, other users can register, and they'll automatically be added to a Party once the event starts.
Mass Effect-Themed Donald Trump Video Is Pulled Down by EA
Update: An unfortunate intersection between a Google Chrome extension and our CMS meant this article originally referred to Donald Trump as Donald Drumpf. This was unintentional, and has now been corrected.
EA has had a supporter-made campaign advert for Donald Trump removed from YouTube and Twitter after it used dialogue, sound effects and music from Mass Effect 2.
A spokesman for the publisher told GameInformer, "The video was an unauthorized use of our IP. We do not support our assets being used in political campaigns."

Lucasfilm Announces New Force for Change Campaign
Lucasfilm announced a new campaign today to support the charitable initiative Star Wars: Force for Change. Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, made the announcement.
Force for Change, which was originally announced for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, has thus far raised over $10,000,000 from the Star Wars community.
Starting April 5th, Star Wars: Force for Change will match the donations of Star Wars fans to four select charities up to $1,000,000. According to Lucasfilm:
"This month-long campaign will lead up to 'Star Wars Day' on May the 4th. The four select charities include the U.S. Fund for UNICEF in support of UNICEF Kid Power, American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and Make-A-Wish.
Jesse Eisenberg Justifies Lex Luthor’s Crazy Plan
Lex Luthor does some pretty crazy things as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice progresses, so when we sat down with the man who plays him - Jesse Eisenberg - we asked why the supervillain behaves the way he does at the end of the film.
So if you haven't seen BvS, BEWARE OF SPOILERS AHEAD...
We caught up with Eisenberg at the film's London junket, and asked him just what Lex was thinking when he created Doomsday.
“I think Lex becomes increasingly unhinged throughout the movie” he explained. “I also think he’s a guy who has 40 back-up plans and so when one thing doesn’t work out he has another and if that doesn’t work out he has another, which is why I think he never feels that threatened by Superman and Batman because he knows he always has the leverage and his final act, in my opinion; and this is now thinking back a year-and-a-half – was this kind of like last-ditch effort to leave it all on the table.”
Leaks Suggest God of War 4 Will Be Based in Norse Mythology
After a tease from industry insider, Shinobi602, concept images from a Sony Santa Monica artist's website suggest that the next title in the God of War series will abandon ancient Greek myth for a Norse setting - but may still feature a version of Kratos as the protagonist.
After Shinobi's message (he was last seen predicting a far future Call of Duty, by the way), NerdLeaks gained access to a wealth of images - now viewable in full on NeoGAF - that detail Norse-like settings, game features, and even show a bearded, trouser-wearing, axe-wielding take on Kratos.
