How I Spent 2 Hours in No Man’s Sky

Suzy Wallace is acting pretty casually, considering that she’s about to show me the way to the center of the universe. She’s the Senior Producer on No Man’s Sky, and after the past year’s-worth of vague allusions to what might lie at the heart of its galactic tangle, her offer sounds too good to be true; as if men with dark suits and darker glasses will bust in any moment to keep her from spilling the beans. The truth is out there, and all of that.

But the truth will have to wait a while longer it seems. At her prompting, I press a button to bring up the galactic map - a nigh-incomprehensible menagerie of brightly colored solar systems. It is completely overwhelming. Another button press makes things considerably clearer, though. A yellow line connects the cosmic dots, outlining a path from solar system to solar system. I follow it with my eyes for a few seconds, until it lazily spirals out into the darkness of space.

A free alpha is currently running for Minecraft: Pocket Edition players using Android devices. However, only users with Xbox Live accounts will be able to participate. According to Mojang, an Xbox Live account will only be required for online play, and not for single-player Pocket Edition.

Cross-platform play between iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and Windows 10 editions of Minecraft will be supported in Minecraft Realms, which is why Xbox Live logins are required. Only a free account is necessary; players do not have to have an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Flappy Bird’s Newest Platform Is an E-Cigarette

The true measure of a game's success is how its fanbase adopts it. People have played Pac-Man on the side of a building, replaced the entire World 1-1 soundtrack on violin, and introduced Minecraft to advanced AI. Now, Dong Nguyen's unlikely mobile hit joins the club, by becoming playable on something you'd ordinarily use to vape.

As spotted by Kotaku, enterprising future-person Balázs Bánk made a fully playable version of Flappy Bird for the screen of his VTC Mini E-Cigarette. You can see it in action below:
