Here’s Why C-3PO Has a Red Arm
Star Wars: The Force Awakens left us with a lot of burning questions, but one of the more peculiar ones is about C-3PO: Why did he have a red arm? Today in Star Wars Special: C-3PO #1 from Marvel Comics, written by James Robinson with art by Tony Harris, we got the answer in a story that takes place before the events of Force Awakens.
Warning: beware of full spoilers for Star Wars Special: C-3PO #1!
Only One Person Is Seeing Game of Thrones: Season 6 Early
While the events of Game of Thrones: Season 6 are being kept under tight lock and key, United States President—and self-proclaimed Game of Thrones fan—Barack Obama has been granted early access to the show's forthcoming episodes.
"He's the leader of the free world," showrunner D.B. Weiss said during an interview (via THR) at the Hollywood screening of the Season 6 premiere. Series co-creator David Benioff also chimed in, adding, "When the commander-in-chief says 'I want to see advanced episodes,' what are you going to do?"
New Star Trek Set Before Next Generation
Next year’s return of Star Trek to TV has been shrouded in secrecy so far, but a new rumor indicates that we now know when the first season of the show will be set. Not to mention which universe it will take place in!
Birth.Movies.Death.’s sources are saying that the CBS All Access show will be set in the classic continuity, which is to say not in the J.J. Abrams reboot-verse. Additionally, Season 1 of the series will be set before the era of The Next Generation, but after the events of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. That covers a lot of years, and BMD’s report is not specific beyond that, but essentially what this means is that the era that could be covered spanned the time of the Enterprise-B (the one captained initially by Cameron from Ferris Bueller!) and the Enterprise-C (the one that was destroyed defending a Klingon outpost, as we learned in the classic TNG episode “Yesterday’s Enterprise”). Not that an Enterprise will figure into the show necessarily…
Stardew Valley is Selling Like Hotcakes
Stardew Valley—developer ConcernedApe's farm simulating RPG—has sold over one million copies since its launch in February.
"It's actually at 1,007,000
as of now," publisher Chucklefish Games told Polygon. "It's been really exciting for us to help bring this game to people's attention, and the success really couldn't have come to a more deserving person."
Those sales numbers place Stardew Valley alongside ARK: Surivival of the Fittest and XCOM 2 in SteamSpy's list of 2016's top-performing games.
Suicide Squad: Dead Pig Wasn’t Leto’s Only Gross ‘Gift’
As if a dead hog, live rats, creepy letters, and bullets weren't enough, Suicide Squad actor Jared Leto has revealed even more notably disturbing "gifts" he sent to his cast mates.
Speaking with E! Online, the Oscar-winning actor revealed he also sent his co-stars used condoms and anal beads. Killer Croc actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje added Leto sent him some "sticky Playboy magazines."
Said Leto: "I did a lot of things to create a dynamic to create an element of surprise, a spontaneity and to really break down any kind of walls that may be there. The Joker is somebody who doesn't really respect things like personal space or boundaries."

Majority of Console Gamers Also Play on Mobile Devices
New data published by market research firm Nielsen suggests that console gamers are reaching for their mobile devices to play games more frequently than they have in the past.
Those gamers, however, aren't exactly spending money on those games. Nielsen found that mobile gaming occupies a third of gamers' weekly gaming time—11 percent on tablets, 22 percent on smartphones—but generates much, much less revenue in comparison. Mobile gaming brings in just 5 percent of gamers' "spend share," with console spending dominating the data.

Why Wasp Isn’t in Captain America: Civil War
Ant-Man actress Evangeline Lilly will have to wait a bit longer to suit up, because Wasp won't appear in Captain America: Civil War.
Marvel instead wants to wait and debut Wasp in the Ant-Man sequel, which is a less crowded affair. Ant-Man and the Wasp director Peyton Reed explained the strategic choice for Hope Van Dyne while speaking with EW.
“It just didn’t make sense for Wasp
because there’s so many characters in this movie, and you really want to see her become a hero and really spend time with her,” said Reed.
“She’s a complicated character and a rich character. We’re really, really having fun writing that.”
