Startup company Magic Leap has created a device to go up against Microsoft's Hololens.
A video entitled "A New Morning" was released today, showcasing what Magic Leap can do. It shows a whole range of virtual information in front of your eyes without shutting out the real world. Check out the video below.
The video shows how you can check emails and open attachments, as well as being able to check out a 3D model of something you want to buy while online shopping.
According to Wired, investors, including the likes of Google, have so far put $1.4 billion into the technology. Wired also claims the "quality of its
Why I Love Hard Games
As one of the biggest Dark Souls fans in the IGN office, I’m often asked to explain the series’ appeal: “How can a game with such obscure systems be fun? How can a game that’s so punishing be fun?”
In college a lecturer presented our class with a series of photographs. They all depicted the same man playing a video game, but in each picture he had a new facial expression. In some he looked outwardly happy, smiling and laughing, while in others he looked neutral, annoyed, and sometimes even angry. We were asked to identify in which photographs the man was “having fun.” My votes went towards the photos where he was obviously cheerful, but also those where he had a more stoic or sour expression – to me, the latter two communicated concentration and determination. He looked “in the zone.”
Reverb Is the Key to the Multiverse in New The Flash Clip
Reverb, we hardly knew you, but Cisco's Earth-2 doppelgänger proves to be very, very useful in this new clip from The Flash.
The preview of Tuesday's episode, "Versus Zoom," shows Barry Allen come to a huge revelation about Reverb's metahuman ability, and thus Cisco's as well. Could Cisco be the key to controlling the Multiverse? That sure seems to be the case.
The synopsis for "Versus Zoom" reads: "Equipped with the tachyon device, Barry believes he is fast enough to stop Zoom and wants to open the breaches to catch him. Harry strongly advises against that plan but after Barry convinces him, Harry reveals that Cisco has the power to re-open the breach. Meanwhile, Hunter Zoloman's painful story on Earth-2 is revealed."

Microsoft Prototyping a Variety of New Xbox Ideas, Say Rumours
If you have one, you must have the other. And so it is that after yesterday's latest rumour about the PlayStation 4.5 - allegedly codenamed "NEO" - today sees fresh reports that Microsoft is testing "a variety of prototype Xbox devices".
The new information comes from The Verge, who report that Xbox sources have told the tech website that at least some of the prototypes have been "tested with upgraded components you'd use to improve the performance of a PC gaming rig."
George R.R. Martin Open to Game of Thrones Spinoff
While HBO executives aren't considering a Game of Thrones spinoff at the moment, author George R.R. Martin is open to the possibility.
Game of Thrones is expected to run for eight seasons—and given its popularity, it seems silly to think HBO would just stop there.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Martin said "there is certainly no lack of material." For the acclaimed author, the "most natural follow-up" would be "an adaptation of
Dunk & Egg stories."
The Coalition Apologizes for Gears of War 4 Beta Distribution Issues
Gears of War 4 developer The Coalition has apologised after codes for the Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta were not sent out as planned.
The original plan was to have beta codes roll out to those who had played Gears of War Ultimate Edition on Xbox One or PC, sent in chronological order of when they had played.
However Gears of War's community manager Adam Fletcher gave the following statement on the forums last night:
The Division Is Handing Out Compensation to Players
The Division is giving free Phoenix Credits to anyone affected by the rash of recent issues that have plagued the online shooter. That is, potentially, every single player.
On Ubisoft Massive's latest State of the Game Twitch stream (as reported by VG24/7), the company confirmed that those who were affected by either the game-breaking backpack bug or losing their character on Xbox One would receive 500 Phoenix Credits (the currency used to buy end-game gear) and 10 of each High-End crafting material type.
