Gravity Director Helping on Serkis’ Jungle Book
In the wake of Warner Bros.' Jungle Book: Origins being delayed to 2018, Gravity director Alfonso Cuaron has stepped in to lend a helping hand on Andy Serkis' upcoming movie.
According to Deadline, Cuaron is in no way taking over the project, as production is already complete. Instead, the filmmaker -- described as a "friend to the studio" -- will offer feedback on potential ways to improve Jungle Book: Origins "in an uncredited capacity," now that Serkis has an extra year to work on the movie before its release.

MTV Leaning Back into Music-Based Programming
MTV is looking to put music back into its television lineup. Headed by new network president Sean Atkins, MTV (which formerly stopped standing for Music Television a few years back) is turning to new music-based shows to boost its ratings.
Three new shows are currently in the works, including a new version of the network's classic show Unplugged, a hip-hop music competition show produced by Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Voice), and "an L.A.-set live-music series" called Wonderland.
"The thing that kept coming back when I first started this job was, 'Why doesn't MTV do more music?" Atkins told LA Times. "Music is our muse, our spirit animal. And it's a great muse to have. So we're leaning into it."

Robert Downey, Jr. and director Guy Ritchie may be starting work on a third Sherlock Holmes film this year.
While in the United Kingdom as part of his Captain America: Civil War tour, Downey, Jr. expects to meet with Ritchie to discuss the film.
"He'll say, 'I'll meet you on my bike,' all that sort of macho stuff," Downey, Jr. told ShortList. "I've always considered riding a bike in London as taking your life in your own hands. Guy makes it look easy."
Busy schedules have been a problem in the past—and part of the reason 2011's Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows was delayed—but when the team does get down to business, "it is off the hook." Downey, Jr. added, "If we could shoot it on Skype, we could have the whole
