Dead World of Warcraft Private Server Petition Gets 200K Signatures

A petition for Blizzard to open World of Warcraft legacy servers has garnered over 200,000 signatures. Popular private server Nostalrius was shuttered earlier in April after receiving a cease and desist from Blizzard Entertainment, sparking the petition.

With the petition at this benchmark, Mark Kern—a former World of Warcraft team lead— is working on delivering the petition to Blizzard President Mike Morhaime.

In a post to Twitlonger, Kern detailed his plan to write an open letter and create a video addressed to Morhaime, along with a followup phone call to “his cell and office.”

Tekken series producer — and sometimes voice actor — Katsuhiro Harada revealed as much to GameSpot today.

In an interview with the site Harada said the game is "on hold for the moment." Though he didn't specify how long that might last. The producer cited the recent release of Street Fighter V and the upcoming release of Tekken 7 as factors in the decision.

Daddy's Home, last year's comedy starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, is officially getting a sequel.

As Deadline reports, Ferrell and Wahlberg have signed on to reprise their roles as Brad Taggart and Dusty Mayron, respectively. Sean Anders will also return to direct and co-write the script alongside John Morris.

At this time, there's no word on the plot, or which, if any, of the other original cast members -- which included Hannibal Buress, Linda Cardellini and Thomas Haden Church -- will return.

Daddy's Home opened last Christmas and went on to gross $240 million USD worldwide.

The Simpsons Pays Tribute to Disney Animation

The Simpsons has something special in store for Disney animation fans, as the next episode features a couch gag that pays homage to several of that studio's beloved animated classics.

The gag was created by Eric Goldberg, the animator behind a number of Disney films, including Aladdin, Hercules and Fantasia 2000. In it, each member of The Simpsons family takes on the look of a different character/era in Disney history. See Bart as Fantasia's Mickey, Lisa as Cinderella and Homer as Jungle Book's Baloo in the clip below.

The full episode, titled "Fland Canyon," airs this Sunday, April 24 at 8/7c on FOX.

The Simpsons currently stands as the longest-running scripted show in television history. It's currently in its 27th season and was renewed for a 28th last year. For more on the beloved animated comedy, check out IGN's top 25 Simpsons couch gags.

Supergiant’s Pyre is Beautiful and Impossibly Weird (In a Good Way!)

I'm not exactly sure what I expected from my first 30 minutes with Pyre, Supergiant's follow-up to their fantastic first two games Bastion and Transistor, but it sure as hell wasn't this. But honestly, I'm every bit as mesmerized by this latest weird, beautiful world that the studio has created as I was three years ago when I first played Transistor.

Pyre is a lot of things. It's a poetic, 4th-wall-breaking adventure that tells its fantasy tale through the mechanics of a visual novel. It's an RPG that has you leveling up your three heroes (a horn-laden woman, a dashing rogue, and a cool dog-man with a nice mustache) and investing in skill trees that felt very reminiscent of Transistor. But perhaps most strangely, its battles legitimately feel like a bizarre mix of Transistor, Dota, and Rocket League. Yep, you read that last one correctly.
