Marvel’s Inhumans Movie Loses Its Release Date

Disney has undated its planned Inhumans movie, the studio announced.

The film was originally slated to come out on July 12, 2019. It no longer have a release date.

Inhumans would have been the last movie in the current lineup of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was intended to come out after Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2, which has a May 3, 2019 release date.

In early April, Marvel Studios Kevin Feige said Inhumans' release would likely be delayed due to the announcement of Indiana Jones 5, which is coming out on July 19, 2019. At the time, he dismissed rumors of the film's cancellation, saying "it's a question of when," not if, the movie is made.

Is R2-D2 the Narrator of Star Wars?

As it turns out, RD-D2 may be the main character of Star Wars after all. Not only that, but he could actually be the story's narrator, recounting the entire saga a hundred years after Star Wars: Episode VI.

According to Chris Taylor, author of How Star Wars Conquered the Universe, the theory of RD-D2 being the narrator comes from creator George Lucas himself. Lucas shared the idea -- calling it "his ultimate framing device" -- with animation director Rob Coleman on the set of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.

X-Men: Famke Janssen Wants Her Jean Grey to Return

While X-Men: Apocalypse ushers in a new, young Jean Grey in Sophie Turner, Famke Janssen—who first starred as the telepathic mutant in Fox's original trio of X-Men films—would like to see the return of her older take on the character as well.

Janssen told Entertainment Weekly she's "really excited" to see the introduction of young Jean Grey, noting that several of the older X-Men characters have appeared alongside their younger counterparts in the more recent films and she would like to do the same.

Cuphead: Still Stunning, Still Punishing

Cuphead will, if nothing else, stop you dead in your tracks. The stunning bullet-hell, boss-rush side-scroller is like a playable 1930’s Steamboat Willie cartoon – right down to the smallest visual detail (though Cuphead is, of course, in glorious color). It’s dropped the jaw of anyone I’ve ever shown the trailer to, including non-gamer family members.

But it’s not been seen since last year’s E3. Though the concrete still isn’t dry on its release date (in fact, it arguably hasn’t even been poured yet), it nevertheless is back out on tour at PAX East in order to remind everyone that, visually, it stands second to none.

Above: Direct-feed, 1080p/60fps video of the new Cuphead content shown off at PAX East 2016, with commentary by art director Chad Moldenhauer.

Who Is the Greatest Character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

If our math is correct, there are now about 455,000 characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's crazy cool that there is a shared cinematic space that combines talking raccoons, a shrinking man, a sorcerer, a God, and plenty more insanity. But because this is the internet, nothing cool can exist with people arguing about it - and IGN is here to help.

Check out the Marvel Cinematic Universe Face-Off to vote on the greatest characters in the MCU.

Marvel Teases ‘A Long Awaited Return…’

Marvel Comics has released a new teaser image that came with the email subject line, "A Long Awaited Return..."

Take a look:

index

The quote on the image reads "I knew this was my chance to be a hero." and sports a glowing yellow, pointed cross symbol that could be a couple different things.

The first thing that springs to mind is the original Captain Marvel, Mar-Vell, although Carol Danvers is currently killin' it as Captain Marvel, so that would make things awkward, to say the least.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Sneak Peek Video

Ahead of the July debut of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, author J.K. Rowling is giving fans a look behind the scenes. In the video taken during the stage play's rehearsal, Rowling shows the cast of children and adults practicing their wand choreography.

"This will be such an incredible theatrical experience that I'd love us to be able to surprise people and move people in the natural way that a story should surprise and move people," Rowling said.
