The Tick: Amazon’s Reboot Will be ‘Darker and More Grounded’
In today's crowded superhero landscape, Amazon's The Tick reboot has the chance to "do something really different."
Created in 2001, the live action version of The Tick was cancelled after just nine episodes. Though the show raked in an average of 4 million viewers on each episode, Fox considered the numbers catastrophic.

"I said at the time the network didn't necessarily get it," Barry Johnson, executive producer of both the original and reboot series, told Entertainment Weekly. "And I don't know that we were doing exactly the version that was right, but we were happy with it."
This 16-Year-Old Hacked Into Steam & Released a Ridiculous Game
A 16-year-old has got his 45-second-long 'game' onto Steam without a single person at Valve setting eyes on it.
Watch Paint Dry is a game about watching paint dry. It made its way onto Steam without going through Greenlight or acquiring an elusive Valve stamp-of-approval, in an effort from creator Ruby Nealon to highlight a vulnerability in the service.
Although the vulnerability has since been fixed (thanks to Nealon), Nealon chronicled his incredible exploit on Medium. Beginning with acquiring a Steamworks account (through unspecified means), Nealon found that he could fool it into thinking his trading cards - which he describes as a 'basic joke set' - had been approved by somebody at Valve. He then requested non-existent information that gave him a list of options, one of which could trick the system into thinking the game was 'released'.
The Blacklist Getting Possible Spinoff Starring Famke Jannsen
NBC is developing a potential spinoff of The Blacklist, starring X-Men and Taken actress Famke Jannsen.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Jannsen will be introduced in the May 5th episode of The Blacklist, as Susan "Scottie" Halsted. The plan being developed would then have the May 12th episode serve as a backdoor pilot that would center on her character, setting up the spinoff.
LEGO Reveals Disney Minifigure Line
LEGO's latest line of Minifigures will feature some of Disney's most iconic characters, the company announced today.
Classic characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, along with newer favorites like Stitch and Buzz Lightyear, will be available when the Disney Minifigures line hits shelves on May 1.
In total, 18 new figures are being released. Never-before-seen in LEGO form, Mr. Incredible and Syndrome of Disney Pixar's The Incredibles are newcomers to LEGO's blocky world.
"This year, we’re excited to give them a diverse collection of Disney characters from classic storylines, to never-before-seen LEGO likenesses of Disney icons in order to further the creative play possibilities for Disney and LEGO fans alike," LEGO vice president of licensing and entertainment Jill Welfert said.
Gambit Production Delayed Until Late 2016
20th Century Fox has pushed back the production of Gambit to the end of this year.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, rewrites are responsible for the production delay of Gambit. The movie, starring Channing Tatum as the mutant hero, was originally scheduled to start filming this month in New Orleans.
That means director Doug Liman will helm another project first: The Wall for Amazon Studios. The Edge of Tomorrow filmmaker joined Gambit late last year, after Rupert Wyatt left the superhero project.
First Cyborg Olympics Will Take Place in October
While the Olympics and Paralympics are against its competitors using technological and motorized enhancements, the upcoming cyborg Olympics is doing the opposite and encouraging people with disabilities to use it.
Officially known as the Cybathlon, the event won't place an emphasis on amazing physical feats like completing the high jump or the 400-meter, but will instead focus on smaller, seemingly mundane tasks like climbing stairs or slicing loaves of bread. Robert Riener, the event's organizer and a professor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland, told IEEE Spectrum the Cybathlon is "less about force and speed, and more about control of the body and the device."

That issue looks to be setting up Jurgens' run on Action Comics, as Lex Luthor dons his Superman-colored suit of armor for the first time.
Wentworth Miller’s Humbling Response to Fat-Shaming Meme
A photo of Wentworth Miller, who plays Captain Cold on DC Comics' Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash, went viral recently for all the wrong reasons -- and Miller had a touching response to it.
The meme compares two photos of Miller—one shirtless from the actor's run on Prison Break, and another, from years later. It's captioned with "When you break out of prison and find out about McDonald's monopoly." In a heartfelt post on Miller's Facebook page, the actor explained the photo.
