6 Questions We Have About DC Rebirth
DC gave comic book fans plenty of reason to be excited about the upcoming DC Rebirth relaunch this past weekend. Thanks to DC's WonderCon panel, we now know a lot more about about the books that will make up the relaunch and the creators involved in bringing them to life. Whether it's Tom King, David Finch and Mikel Janin on Batman or Greg Rucka, Liam Sharp and Nicola Scott on Wonder Woman, there's a lot to look forward to this summer.
But for all that DC has revealed so far, there are still a number of burning questions surrounding this relaunch and how the DCU as a whole will be affected.
Little by little, DC has begun appeasing readers who demand a return of he Pre-New 52 version of the DC Universe. One of the more significant examples of this trend is the fact that the Pre-New 52 versions of Superman and Lois Lane survived the events of Convergence and are now living quietly in the New 52 universe, raising their super-powered son and trying not to attract any unnecessary attention and while still quietly assisting the new Superman. That's been the focus of Dan Jurgens and Lee Weeks' Superman: Lois & Clark.

Adam Driver Talks Star Wars: Episode 8
Kylo Ren actor Adam Driver spoke about how excited he is to get back to the set of Star Wars for Episode VIII.
Talking with Entertainment Weekly, Driver spoke about Rian Johnson, the director taking over from J.J. Abrams for the next Star Wars movie. "Their temperaments are different,” Driver said. “I feel like there was so many moving pieces in the first one – just trying to solve it and set the vocabulary for what it was. There’s a lot of that anxiety is gone, because people have developed a language."
Driver continued. "I can’t wait to get on set, just because he’s so unassuming and intelligent and approachable. The script they’ve come up with is really great.”

So many of the major forces impacting Western society today are positioned front and centre: computer hacking, clandestine surveillance, illegal conquest, economic collapse, terrorism, an overreliance on technology... it's all here and it's all used to tell a story of America conquered.

‘Leaked’ Mass Effect: Andromeda Survey Hints at New Info
New details about Mass Effect Andromeda may have been leaked online.
Before we get into it, this story comes from a screenshot on NeoGAF, so a large pinch of salt is recommended. Also, if the info turns out to be true, consider this your possible spoiler warning.
Here’s what the EA marketing survey says:
“Mass Effect: Andromeda takes players to the Andromeda galaxy, far beyond the Milky Way, where players will lead the fight for a new home in hostile territory – where WE are the aliens – opposed by a deadly indigenous race bent on stopping us.
“Experience the freedom to traverse and explore a planet-dense but seamless open-world galaxy, rich with discovery. Play as the leader of a squad of military-trained explorers in an intense third-person shooter, with deep progression and customization systems.
American McGee’s Spicy Horse Studio Suffers Job Losses
American McGee’s Shanghai-based studio, Spicy Horse, has reduced its staff to a core team.
According to McGee, the plan moving forwards will be to move away from the free-to-play model the company has focused on in recent years. In a comment on
In a comment on NeoGAF, McGee said the following:
“Just wanted to let everyone know Spicy Horse did reduce staff earlier this week, but a core team will remain in the studio and we'll be announcing new projects soon.
“The remaining team will continue to support our existing and recently launched mobile F2P titles. As has been mentioned in this thread, the F2P space has become quite brutal in recent years, and after five years and seven titles, I feel it's time we pivot to something new.”
The Bold New Age of Space Simulators
It feels a smidge strange to describe Star Citizen as niche. The long-gestating rebirth of the Chris Roberts-style space simulator crossed the $100 million mark late last year. That “mark” is crowdfunded dollars, too, meaning there’s $100+ million of demand from a PC-exclusive audience eager to return to the stars with Roberts at the helm.
If you sit Hello Games’ similarly themed indie title next to Star Citizen, it somehow feels more ambitious than Roberts’ offering, if only in terms of a very simple distinction: No Man’s Sky is targeting mainstream audiences.
