The Tick: Guardians of the Galaxy Actor Peter Serafinowicz Cast in Title Role

Deadline reports that Shaun of the Dead actor and voice of Darth Maul, Peter Serafinowicz, has been cast as The Tick in the upcoming Amazon reboot of the superhero spoof.

After it was announced that the original cast of the cult 2001 live-action show would not be returning for the upcoming pilot, there have been questions about the title role. Serafinowicz created UK comedy series Look Around You and appeared as a Nova Corps officer in Guardians of the Galaxy (you know, the "A-holes" guy), and looks to be donning the big blue suit.

Marvel’s Most Wanted Showrunner Breaks Down Big SHIELD Moment

Full spoilers for Marvel's Agents of SHIELD continue below.

It's time to say goodbye to Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) -- but hopefully not for long. The two Agents of SHIELD stars had their farewell episode in "Parting Shot," and in doing so set up their in-development spinoff series, Marvel's Most Wanted.

ABC ordered the show to pilot earlier this year, and Palicki and Blood have since shot it with showrunners Jeff Bell and Paul Zbyszewski, both of whom are also producers on Agents of SHIELD. They're still putting the finishing touches on the pilot before sending it off to the network to see if it will be picked up to series, and Bell got on the phone to talk about the Mockingbird and Hunter goodbye and what is potentially to come on the new show.

Civil War: Captain America and Bucky’s Love Story

Captain America: Civil War is a love story, among other things, according to director Joe Russo.

Steve Rodgers and Bucky Barnes are at the heart of what Russo explicitly called a love story, though he's certainly talking about a fraternal one. "These are two guys who grew up together, and so they have that same emotional connection to each other as brothers would, and even more so because Bucky was all Steve had growing up," he told Empire.

As the Russo brothers have discussed before, the film's characters are "emotionally invested in the storytelling," with Rodgers and Barnes relationship framing the plot.

NASA Catches the Flash of an Exploding Star for the First Time

Spotting the initial flash of an exploding supernova is extremely rare, to the point that NASA has only just managed to do it for the first time.

Known as a "shock breakout," NASA used the Kepler space telescope to capture and analyze the light of 500 distant galaxies every 30 minutes for 3 years. The international team behind the discovery observed two red supergiants in an attempt to catch the beginnings of a supernova. The first, KSN 2011a, which is 300 times the size of our sun, didn't present the desired shock breakout, while KSN 2011d, a supergiant about 500 times larger that the sun, did.

New to Netflix for April 2016

Netflix in April means more original shows (Kimmy Schmidt returns, The Ranch debuts, AJIN marks the streaming giant's first original anime, etc) along with a nice assortment of movie offerings. A better list than some of the more recent months, which have felt a bit slim following the uptick in original programming.

There are two classic Kubrick films, The Princess Bride, Scrooged, V for Vendetta, Boogie Nights, a new Patton Oswalt special, and more. Plus, on the TV front, Bob's Burgers, How to Get Away with Murder, Girl Meets World, and Lost Girl.

While Cogman couldn't delve into specifics of the clash, he did reveal that Hardhome director Miguel Sapochnik is returning to helm the battle-heavy episode. In fact, principal photography for the epic confrontation took roughly a month.
