Who is Wynonna Earp?
Today at WonderCon, IGN got a chance to speak with the cast and crew of Syfy's Wynonna Earp, about the great-great grand-daughter of famed deputy Wyatt Earp who defends her hometown of Purgatory from supernatural outlaws, or "Revenants." The TV series is based on an IDW comic book series created by Beau Smith, who was also at the event.
Talking about how the project came about, showrunner Emily Andras said, "It was honestly as if
had cooked up my perfect project in a lab. It is absolutely the perfect property. It's got a demon-hunting cowgirl, who's a complete hot mess, and it takes place in the west -- and it just felt so fresh and real and witty... I say it's like 'Buffy meets Justified.'"
