Pokémon GO Developer Discuss the New Game at GDC
It seems we'll learn about Nintendo's upcoming foray into mobile, Pokémon GO, as early as this year's GDC.
The tip comes from a schedule listing on the Game Developers Conference website. Pokémon GO and Ingress developer Niantic, Inc. will be hosting a panel called "Catch 'Em All: Pokemon GO and Real World Gaming." During which, the augmented reality specialists will talk not just about their upcoming collaboration, but "real world gaming" in general.
"Join Niantic founder and CEO John Hanke," the schedule reads "as he discusses how the company has developed a unique vision for delivering a mobile Pokemon experience that gets would-be trainers into the outdoors."
McCarthy: No One Asked Me to Return for Gilmore Girls Revival
The reason Melissa McCarthy isn't returning to Stars Hollow in Netflix's Gilmore Girls revival? Nobody asked her.
The actress, who played Sookie in the original series, took to Twitter to explain that she never got a phone call.
Thanks for the invite, but sadly no one asked me or Sookie to come back to Stars Hollow. Wish them all the best!! https://t.co/II2Atug4wx

McCarthy's admission combats the suggestion from Gilmore Girls' creator Amy Sherman-Palladino that McCarthy wasn't returning due to her hectic schedule.
Kate Winslet Agrees Jack’s Death in Titanic Was Preventable
At long last, we have closure.
Talking to Jimmy Kimmel last night, actress Kate Winslet agreed that Rose could have shifted over just a little bit on that piece of door in James Cameron's Titanic, allowing Leonardo DiCaprio's Jack to survive.
"...you let (DiCaprio) freeze to death in the water," said Kimmel. "No, I agree," said Winslet, with a laugh. "I actually think he could have fitted on that bit of door".
The Witness Brought in Over $5 Million in Its First Week
The Witness grossed more than $5 million USD in revenue—and sold "substantially more" than 100,000 units—over its first week across all platforms, developer Jonathan Blow announced today. The developer hinted at the game's sales numbers last week, but posted a more detailed account on The Witness blog.
"This is a good chunk more revenue in one week than Braid made its entire first year, from August 2008 to September 2009," Blow wrote. Braid first launched on Xbox Live in August of 2008, but released on Steam in April 2009.
The Stand Delayed While Director Tackles Different Stephen King Movie
Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars), the writer adapting Stephen King's The Stand, is now directing another King adaptation.
Deadline reports that The Stand has verbal commitments from some cast members and that Boone is still determined to make it. The project has reverted to CBS Films after Warner Bros.'s option ended, and it may get shopped to another studio.
While all that is sorted, Boone wrote and will direct an adaptation of the 2014 King novel Revival. He hopes to direct it this year, and thinks it can be done fairly quickly and for a reasonable budget. Boone and producer Michael De Luca have submitted the Revival script to Universal Studios as part of Boone's first-look deal.

Following Variety's initial reveal, Dwayne Johnson, who's set to star in the game-to-film adaptation, confirmed the pair's involvement in a post on Instagram. The star noted Carlton, who is also known for his work on Lost, is no stranger to large scale films, having previously worked with him on San Andreas.
Hearthstone Gets More Deck Slots and New Formats
UPDATE: Blizzard reached out to us to clarify it's "re-evaluating a number of Basic and Classic cards" to make adjustments "to account for the removal of Naxx" and Goblins vs. Gnomes cards. This is to ensure what Blizzard calls a "truly dynamic environment." Further changes will only then be necessary if the "initial wave of changes" don't accomplish that goal.
Hearthstone is finally getting additional deck slots, along with new play formats for Blizzard's digital card game.
The news comes from a video on the game's official website. More deck slots — up to 18 from just nine — will already seem like a godsend to those who play multiple builds of the same class. However, extra space will also come in handy due to new formats, which the video promises are coming this spring.

Arrow: Haynes Teases ‘Sad’ Turn During Arsenal’s Return
Tomorrow night’s episode of Arrow, “Unchained,” features the return of Roy Harper aka Arsenal, played by actor Colton Haynes. We talked to Haynes about what to expect from his return.
“It's really exciting, it's also really sad towards the end. Something really sad happens,” Haynes teased. “You get to see Roy just be super ecstatic. Not kind of moany-groany like he used to be. He's super stoked to be back in the fold. He's getting the hang of things again, kind of picking up pretty quickly. He's just really happy to be there and actually to work with Oliver and work with the team again. It fits in so cohesively, the way they've written the storyline, and it's just going to make fans excited.”
