Spike Orders Pilot of The Mist TV Series

Spike TV has ordered a drama series based on the 1980 Stephen King horror novella The Mist, according to Deadline.

The pilot order focuses on the story of the novella, which is about an unassuming mist that drifts into a small town and begins to wreak havoc on the residents.

The Mist project was conceived last year by Dimension Television, but had not been picked up by any companies at the time.

Christian Torpe, creator of Danish drama series Rita, has been tapped for executive producer. Torpe has previously produced programming for both AMC and Showtime.

The Walking Dead: How Much Will Negan Curse?

Jeffrey Dean Morgan will make his debut as Negan during the Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead, and thanks to the strong language of his graphic novel counterpart, the show's producers have had a tricky time in adapting the character for cable television.

Series creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman acknowledged the network's limitations, telling EW, "there are certain words that try as I might, we are not allowed to say on AMC, and those are certain words that Negan likes to say."

Ant-Man Director Has Fun with R-Rated Superhero Trend

Now that Deadpool is a hit, its status as a moneymaking, R-rated superhero juggernaut has seemingly influenced other comic-book adaptations. Wolverine 3 may or may not be rated R now because of Deadpool, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is getting an R-rated Director’s Cut Blu-ray, and it seems there will be even more comics movies made in the near future with an adult audience in mind. And if tweets are to believed, Ant-Man director Peyton Reed is ready to up the ante even more.

The 100: Big Consequences Await Raven, Bellamy and Lexa

Warning: Full spoilers for The 100 through last week’s episode, “Hakeldama”, follow.

Some huge events are underway on The 100 right now, as Bellamy’s decision to help Pike (Michael Beach) massacre a Grounder army sent to protect Arkadia has caused some massive rifts between former allies, including Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Bellamy (Bob Morley). Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) was intent on attacking Arkadia in retribution, until Clarke convinced her not to respond with more violence – though it remains to be seen how that choice will go over amongst those who follow Lexa.

On top of that, Raven (Lindsey Morgan), still in massive pain from her crippled leg, has taken the chip given to her by Jaha (Isaiah Washington) – causing her to see Alie (Erica Cerra) for the first time.

Start Reading Our Favorite Comic Book of 2015 for Less Than $6

Brian K. Vaughan's Saga was our choice for the Best Comic Book Series of 2015, and the first volume (which contains issues 1 through 8) is only $5.64 right now. Saga has elements of Star Wars and Game of Thrones, and it moves at an incredible pace that makes it like an incredible read. While the first book is dirt cheap (others are around $10 each), I highly recommend the deluxe edition, which gives you eighteen issues in one hardcover volume. Whichever binding you choose, you won't be disappointed, but you will be wanting more.
