Zenimax Details What’s Coming to Elder Scrolls Online in 2016
Zenimax Online has detailed what’s coming to Elder Scrolls Online in 2016.
In a post to players on the official forums, Zenimax Online says the current player population is “very strong,” and that the team is committed to providing “ongoing content and updates on a quarterly basis, and incremental patches as needed.”
One area Zenimax is keen to build upon is the level scaling system – which promotes lower-level players to a higher level while in specific areas. The Looking for Group matchmaking system is due for an overhaul, which is set to launch alongside the Thieves Guild update. In a similar vein, there’s also plans to introduce a Looking for Guild system.

Three New Fighters Join the Pokken Tournament Roster
Braixen, Mewtwo and Garchomp have been revealed as the latest additions to Pokken Tournament's expanding roster of playable fighters.
This trio of characters additions was revealed in the latest issue of CoroCoro Comic (via Gematsu), bringing the game's current lineup of confirmed fighters to fifteen.
Yet another character is set to be revealed this Friday, January 15, and we know it isn't one of the three fighters mentioned above, as last week's tease noted the Pokemon fighter's Japanese name includes the character "ラ", which isn't found in any of the new additions.

Hateful Eight, Pulp Fiction Producer Will Co-Run Activision Blizzard Studios
Activision Blizzard has today confirmed that producer Stacey Sher will be co-president of the newly-formed Activision Blizzard Studios, which the publisher founded late last year to create motion pictures and television properties based on its game franchises. Sher will partner with former Disney executive Nick van Dyk to co-lead the studio.
Sher’s producing credits include The Hateful Eight, A Walk Among the Tombstones, Django Unchained, Garden State, Erin Brockovich, Gattaca, Matilda, Get Shorty, and Pulp Fiction.
“Stacey is a rare talent behind two decades of award-winning television series and films. See More of The Division in This New Teaser Video
Following yesterday's accidental leak, Ubisoft has now formally released a new video teaser for its upcoming shooter, The Division.
The new three-minute trailer offers a detailed peek at the game's open-world environments and real-time combat, as well further information about how The Division's post-apocalyptic world sets about trying to rebuild itself.
We discovered earlier this week that a beta may launch later this month following its postponement in December 2015.
The Division is scheduled for release on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on March 8, 2016. To find out more, check out IGN's first hands-on impressions of the game from E3 2015.
20 Percent Discount on New Games for Amazon Prime Members
Amazon is making bigger strides into the gaming market by offering a 20 percent discount to Prime members.
The offer is for 20 percent off all video games during pre-order, and for two weeks after release. The discount is automatically applied at checkout and it's only valid on games that are shipped and sold by Amazon.
This means that the offer only applies to physical games, and you won't be getting any money off if you order from another seller. If you've already pre-ordered a game recently, then the offer should be extended to that automatically.
Get Your First Look at CM Punk in EA Sports UFC 2
The latest video for EA Sports UFC 2 gives us our first in-game look at CM Punk.
Punk’s right at the beginning of the video, which also showcases UFC 2’s all-new knockout system, and improvements to the game’s submission and transition grappling mechanics.
Naturally, the reveal of Punk’s first in-game image was met with the usual controversy. Some believe Punk is a “hobby MMA fighter” and therefore has no place in the octagon. While others point to Punk’s past training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and his determination to be The Best in the World as a sign he has every right to be there.
PayDay 2 Gets Goat Simulator DLC
In collaboration with Coffee Stain Studios, Overkill Software is introducing a new, bizarre DLC pack. Releasing January 14, PayDay 2 is getting a Goat Simulator heist.
From the description on Overkill's website, you'll play as the PayDay 2 crew on a mission from Vlad to "intercept a truck carrying cocaine." Arriving on scene, the cocaine is nowhere to be found, but there are goats. Lots of goats.
After wrangling said goats, you'll bring them to Vlad's driver, Boris, who'll—uh—extract the drugs.
PayDay 2's Goat Simulator pack is $7 and will include the two-day heist, five achievements, one shotgun, and 16 other items. The DLC releases in the midst of the heist shooter's XP event, giving 25% more XP to all players from January 12 to 21.
Abrams Knows ‘Quite a Bit’ About Rey’s Lineage
Although J.J. Abrams isn't directing the next installment of Star Wars, he's pretty clued up on the story that's going to unfold.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association press tour, where he was supporting his upcoming Showtime series Roadies, Abrams told the press that he knows "quite a bit" about Rey's mysterious lineage.
"I know quite a bit," said Abrams. "But obviously it’s not for me to talk about in this moment because this is Rian (Johnson's) story to continue now and the last thing I’m going to do is reveal something he would be upset about. I want to make sure Rian gets that courtesy that he had shown me."
When asked if it was "crazy" to sit on such a huge secret for so long, Abrams replied "not for me!"
