Legends of Tomorrow: Wentworth Miller on Whether Captain Cold Is a Hero
When Wentworth Miller made his debut as Leonard Snart on The Flash in 2014, he had no idea that he one day would be starring as a lead in his own DC universe series on The CW.
He came on for one guest spot to play a villain dubbed Captain Cold, and then that appearance turned into more. Before he knew it, executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Phil Klemmer were offering him a role in DC's Legends of Tomorrow, which premieres on January 21st.
"There was no script, but I said, 'I'm in, regardless' and was committed to Legends before I saw a single page," Miller admitted to IGN. "It was a lovely surprise to find so much meat on the bone."
Tracy Morgan to Star in FX Pilot Written by Jordan Peele
FX Networks executives have announced actor and comedian Tracy Morgan will star in an unnamed comedy pilot written by Jordan Peele (Key and Peele) and John Carcieri (Eastbound & Down). Morgan will serve as executive producer along with Eric Tannenbaum (Two and a Half Men) and Joel Zadak (Key and Peele).
The show will follow a career criminal as he's reintroduced into a "society that long ago left him behind," after he's released from a 15-year prison sentence. Morgan—presumably the "man whose only expertise is making grilled cheese with an iron"—must reintegrate into a society that values the internet, political correctness, and self-driving cars. Production is "tentatively set" to begin this summer.
You’re the Worst: Season 3 Will Deal Immediately with Finale Fallout
You're the Worst's writers are two weeks into writing Season 3, and already have sketched out the upcoming season's arc for main characters Jimmy (Chris Geere), Gretchen (Aya Cash), Edgar (Desmin Borges) and Lindsay (Kether Donohue). Stephen Falk and the cast (with the exception of Donohue, who was in rehearsals for FOX's Grease: Live) previewed what's ahead during the FXX comedy's 2016 winter Television Critics Association panel.
Full spoilers ahead for You're the Worst through the Season 2 finale.
Season 2's finale, "The Heart Is a Dumb Dumb," delivered highs and lows for all of its characters. Gretchen told Jimmy she loved him for the first time after he drunkenly confessed the same sentiment for her. Lindsay and Paul (Allan McLeod) decided to have the baby that they accidentally conceived while they were broken up. And Edgar and his girlfriend Dorothy (Collette Wolfe) decided to continue dating even though they weren't ready to move in together.
The 100: How Octavia Will Continue to Evolve in Season 3
Almost all the characters on The 100 have changed dramatically since the show began, but Octavia Blake (Marie Avgeropoulos) has had one of the most dramatic transformations. The girl who jumped off the dropship in the pilot yelling “We’re back, bitches!” and nearly got killed taking an ill-advised, underwear-clad swim in a lake soon after, has been reforged into a fierce and intense warrior – but also a woman without a tribe, as she still feels apart from those from the Ark, where she was forced to keep her existence a secret, and now from the Grounders, who cast her out at the end of Season 2, just as she was becoming accepted.
On a visit to The 100’s set, I spoke to Avgeropoulos about what’s next for Octavia when Season 3 kicks off this coming Thursday, her relationships with Lincoln and Bellamy, how she continues to change (and fight) and more.
