Quentin Tarantino Explains the Tarantino Universe
The Hateful Eight director Quentin Tarantino has been talking about how all his movies exist in a connected Tarantino-verse, or rather, Tarantino-verses.
"There are actually two separate universes," Tarantino explained recently during an interview on the Australian talk show The Project. "There’s the realer than real universe, and all the characters inhabit that one. Then there’s this 'movie' universe, so From Dusk Till Dawn and Kill Bill take place in this special movie universe. Basically, when the characters from Reservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction go to the movies, Kill Bill and From Dusk Till Dawn is what they go see."
The Division Gets Live-Action Prequel Shorts
Ubisoft revealed free unlockable skills, gear and items to coincide with yesterday's release of their live-action series leading up to the release of The Division. Players in North America (US/Canada) can enter a code to unlock four themed sets of gear: the Paramedic, the Firefighter, the Police and the Hunter.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 may introduce one literally enormous character to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Our friends at Geek.com are reporting that Ego, the Living Planet could show up in the James Gunn-directed film. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Ego is precisely what it sounds like — a sentient planet complete with a face and beard.
The cosmic entity has crossed paths with numerous Marvel heroes in the comics, including Thor, the Fantastic Four, and Nova. Being one of the comic book universe's more absurd-looking individuals, Ego seems like a perfect fit for the motley characters of Guardians of the Galaxy.
The 100 Season 3 Preview: Where do Octavia & Lincoln Belong?
With The 100 back tomorrow night, IGN has an exclusive clip, giving you an early look at what's to come in Season 3.
The end of Season 2 found Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) having to deal with some huge emotional upheaval, as she went from the joy of being fully accepted by Indra (Adina Porter) and being told she was a Grounder, to being cast out, after she refused to follow orders and abandon their plan and leave her brother, Bellamy (Bob Morley), behind.
Season 3 finds Octavia and Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) once more living amongst those from the Ark, in the settlement now called Arkadia. But as this clip shows, the girl who was forced to live in hiding underneath the floor for most of her life is not feeling comfortable at all, even as Lincoln, despite being a Grounder himself, is becoming more accepted.
Halo 2 Gun, New Maps Coming to Halo 5
343 Industries has detailed the next wave of multiplayer content headed to Halo 5: Guardians ahead of its release next week.
The forthcoming update, dubbed Infinity's Armory, brings with it two new battlegrounds: an Arena map called Riptide and a new Warzone Assault map called Urban. The former features "winding routes of steel and sand," while the latter boasts one of Warzone's more open map designs with plenty of sightlines.
Additionally, the classic Halo 2 Battle Rifle will be appearing in Guardians as a Mythic loadout weapon REQ that players can use in Warzone. The iconic firearm will also be available to those in Forge. New uncommon and rare variants of the Carbine, as well as the Achilles armor set will be featured in the update as well.
Star Wars: Episode VIII Shooting Delay Rumored
UPDATE: Disney has just announced that the release of Star Wars -- Episode VIII has been pushed from May 2017 to December of that year.

Rian Johnson is reportedly rewriting his script for Star Wars -- Episode VIII.
The rumor comes from the Meet The Movie Press video podcast. Therein it's stated that filming on Johnson's iteration "has been pushed about a month." The delay, if true, is the result of the writer/director reworking his script in response to the strengths of The Force Awakens. Specifically, the roles of Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac's characters Rey, Finn and Poe will be expanded some while a pair of new characters' roles will be reduced. Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tatiana Maslany, Bel Powely and Gina Rodriguez have been rumored to be up for those mysterious new roles.
Nintendo NX May Work With PCs and Competing Consoles
Update: The remaining sections of the leaked GFK survey have been posted online, detailing the console's potential online features and more.
According to the rest of the survey, provided by Twitter user Emily Rogers, Nintendo's console may have a free online service as well as a subscription option that includes more features for a yearly/monthly fee. Backwards compatibility is also mentioned, as the survey gauges interest in the ability to rent or purchase old games digitally, as well as support for previously-owned digital and physical media.
These Were PlayStation Store’s Top Downloads of 2015
Sony has revealed the most downloaded games on the PlayStation Store in 2015.
Unsurprisingly, Call of Duty: Black Ops III on PS4 led the way in North America, with Grand Theft Auto V, Minecraft: PS4 Edition, Star Wars Battlefront, and Fallout 4 rounding out the top five, respectively. A few minor surprises on the list include Dying Light at number 11 and Rocket League at 15.

The Banner Saga Soundtrack Coming to Vinyl
The soundtrack to Stoic’s Viking-themed and Kickstarter-financed tactical RPG The Banner Saga is getting a special vinyl release thanks to LA-based creative company iam8bit.
The 180-gram vinyl, double LP release of Austin Wintory’s score will include art by Stoic’s Arnie Jorgensen and a full digital soundtrack. Preorders for the vinyl will open at iam8bit.com/store on Thursday, January 21 at 10AM PST.
