You Could Star in Spielberg’s Ready Player One
Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One is looking for a star, and it could be you. Based on Ernest Cline's book of the same name, the film is looking to fill three specific roles.
For Wade Watts, casting directors Ellen Lewis and Debbie Delisi are looking for someone who could play an 18-19-year-old male—either "overweight or underweight." Watts is described as being "clean cut with a sense of humor," though "not the most confident guy outside the Oasis."
The next role is for a 10-13-year-old boy called Shoto. Those who speak Mandarin and English fluently should apply—especially if you can play someone "hip and knowing for
age." Shoto will compete alongside Watts in the virtual reality world.
Donnie Yen Talks Ip Man 3 and Rogue One
We recently spoke with action icon and Chinese box office star Donnie Yen about his new film, Ip Man 3 (now playing; see our positive review), as well as his role in the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Yen had initially been somewhat reluctant to reprise his role as Ip Man, the legendary real-life Wing Chun Kung Fu master who mentored Bruce Lee, for a third film, but changed his mind with time. "After the first two were so successful, I wanted to top those as an actor. Also I was waiting for the director to come up with the right direction and the right idea," said Yen. Five years would eventually pass between Ip Man 2 and the third installment.

While the cryptic tweet from @EAStarWars doesn't hint at much besides a wintry theme, the announcement could be related to DICE's free content plan teased after the launch of the Battle for Jakku free DLC.
