Star Trek Into Darkness’ Writer Admits Khan Twist Was a ‘Mistake’
Remember how before Star Trek Into Darkness came out everybody knew Benedict Cumberbatch was playing Khan but the filmmakers refused to admit it? The film's screenwriter Damon Lindelof does, and he regrets the secrecy.
"When we did Star Trek Into Darkness for example, we decided that we weren’t going to tell people that Benedict Cumberbatch was playing Khan" Lindelof told Variety. "And that was a mistake, because the audience was like, “We know he’s playing Khan.” That was why it was a mistake. But J.J.
is telling us nothing about the new Star Wars movie and we love it. I’ve not come across a single person who’s like, “I wish I knew a little bit more.” We are like, ‘Thank God he’s protecting us from all the things that will be revealed in the movie theater.”
Abrams: Showing Disney Force Awakens Was ‘Horrifying’
Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams has revealed what it was like screening his upcoming film for the executives at Disney, calling it a "horrifying" experience.
On the latest episode of The Howard Stern Show (via Entertainment Weekly), Abrams admitted he was "nervous beyond words" before showing the studio an early cut of the film.
"We showed the first cut — which was still incomplete, a complete version of the movie but not the finished version — and we showed it to Alan Horn and Bob Iger and Alan Bergman, the three people at Disney who sat with me in the theater, and we screened the movie. And it was horrifying," he said.
Tank Girl’s Lori Petty Joins Gotham Cast
Lori Petty will appear in episode 214 of Fox’s Gotham.
Variety reports that the actress, who also stars in Orange is the New Black, will play Jeri—"the flamboyant and enigmatic hostess of an underground club where mass murder and art are celebrated in equal measure." Jeri helps Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) in his search for his parents’ killer, but is "less helpful when Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) comes calling."
The isn't Lori Petty's first comic book role. She starred in the '90s comic book-inspired movie, Tank Girl—which we've written is a "faithful adaptation of the alt-comics that spawned it."
Lightsaber Battle on Force Awakens Opening Night Hopes to Break Record
Star Wars fans are looking to set the Guinness World Record for the biggest lightsaber battle.

Participants that contribute $10 to the Lightsaber Academy will receive a 3’ long lightsaber reserved for them. The San Francisco showdown’s Facebook page notes that the lightsabers provided will have six changing colors, and participants will be able to pick them up at the event. The battle will begin after the troops have assembled—Jedi vs. Sith.

Marvel’s Secret Wars Delayed (Again)
Marvel's Secret Wars has been delayed once again.
The series was originally planned at eight issues ending in October, but the creators added a ninth to fit in the "cataclysmic" ending. Today, Diamond Comics Distribution has announced that the ninth issue will be delayed.
Initially said to be released in December, Secret Wars #8 will be taking that spot, with Secret Wars #9 moving to January 6, 2016.
With Secret Wars, the Marvel Universe ends and Battleworld takes its place. The series is part of a massive storyline spanning much of Marvel's work, and something that Jonathan Hickman has been building up to for years.

Rose McIver’s Advice for the New Power Rangers
These days she’s eating brains on the CW's highly entertaining iZombie, but before her role on that series, and shows like Once Upon a Time and Masters of Sex, Rose McIver was fighting bad guys as the Yellow Ranger on Power Rangers RPM.
On a recent visit to the set of iZombie, I briefly asked McIver if she had any advice for the cast of the upcoming Power Rangers movie and spoke to her about the notably successful cast of RPM, which also starred Eka Darville (Jessica Jones) and Adelaide Kane (Reign).
