DC COMICS

STK690914

Written by Greg Pak | Drawn by Georges Jeanty

If nothing else, Action Comics #47 is a prime example of the power inkers can have over the finished art product. Tear through every printed word in this comic and, try as you might, you will not find another credited penciller outside of Georges Jeanty. The four inkers who embellish Jeanty’s pencils create at least three unique and distinctive styles - none of which are remotely bad, but that all fail to gel into a cohesive whole. On the story side of things, this issue pays off Superman’s brief flirtation with evil in a nice and “hokey-in-a-good-way” manner, though that too is marred by shortcuts, this time in the form of an abrupt ending. This book’s so-so issues are made even more frustrating than an average series because of its frequent brushes with greatness. –Levi

Capcom Confirms New Resident Evil 2 Will Be a Full Remake

Capcom has confirmed that the upcoming Resident Evil 2 will be a remake, and not a remaster.

The publisher's recent investor report stated that the game would be a "remastered" version, but Capcom UK's senior marketing director Stuart Turner clarified on Twitter that it had been a "mistranslation" and the classic horror game would be "a full from the ground up remake NOT a remaster."

The new trailer also gave us a better listen to Ben Affleck's Batman voice, Jesse Eisenberg's take on Lex Luthor, and Clark Kent as a Daily Planet reporter.

What’s to Come on Arrow, Flash and Legends of Tomorrow

Warning: Full spoilers follow for this week’s The Flash, “Legends of Today”, and Arrow, “Legends of Yesterday.”

So now that this year’s big Flash and Arrow crossover is over, what’s next for the two series and for the upcoming spinoff, Legends of Tomorrow, which got some big set-up in this event?

We attended a screening of the crossover this week and spoke to the executive producers of all three shows about what the future holds…

Even prior to this two-night event, both The Flash and Arrow had done a lot of set-up for Legends of Tomorrow this season – some would say too much, given how much screen time was given for characters like The Atom, Sara Lance, Captain Cold and Firestorm who are all moving to that new series. However, now that Hawkgirl, Hawkman and Vandal Savage have been introduced, expect that to change.

Zuckerbergs Giving Away 99% of Their Facebook Stock

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, pediatrician Priscilla Chan, will be giving away 99% of their Facebook shares.

Zuckerberg said he and his wife, whose shares in the company are currently worth $45 billion, will give them away in order to "join many others in improving this world for the next generation." This means that the money will be structured as a limited-liability corporation, a Facebook representative told BuzzFeed news.

The money will be used to "further the mission of advancing human potential and promoting equality," according to an SEC filing by the company. This goal will be accomplished by "means of philanthropic, public advocacy, and other activities for the public good."

Just Cause 3 Patch Is in the Works

Just Cause 3 is still having problems, but Avalanche Studios is working on a patch. In a post to the Steam Community, a representative for the studio wrote that the team is working on a fix, but hasn't announced when that fix will be available.

"We need a little bit of time to recreate some of these issues and build fixes," the post reads.

"A little over one day since we launched, we have huge numbers of players in our enormous game world and we’re monitoring all the data coming in."

IGN reported on claims of framerate and load-time issues before the game was released on December 1, citing framerate and load time delays as one of the big problems on Xbox One. But the issues aren't limited to just Xbox—PlayStation 4 and PC players are reporting similar bugs and glitches. Avalanche suggests that PC players head over to the Steam forums, where "there are a number of tips" that "could improve or fix some of the issues that have been reported."

Campbell ‘Leaks’ Ash vs. Walking Dead Script

What would happen if Ash Williams entered the zombie-infested world of The Walking Dead? Ash vs Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell has a script that entertains that very possibility. Kind of.

In a post on Twitter, Campbell "leaked" his humorous script, which pokes a bit of fun at AMC's post-apocalyptic television series. See it below.

Ash vs Evil Dead airs every Saturday on Starz, with Campbell playing the fearless Ash Williams and Lucy Lawless as the revenge-driven Ruby. We recently got a chance to chat with the pair of actors about the show's bloody mix of comedy and horror and spoke with showrunner Craig DiGregorio about Ash's character progression, or lack thereof.
