Nintendo CEO: NX Won’t Be ‘Next Version of Wii or Wii U’
Nintendo isn't looking to create "the next version of Wii or Wii U" with NX, according to president and CEO Tatsumi Kimishima. Instead, the company wants its next platform to offer something completely new.
"As far as NX goes, I’ve said it’s different and obviously a new experience," Kimishima told TIME.
The Nintendo exec then spoke to the company's troublesome transition between Wii and Wii U, noting "how difficult it is to explain to the consumer base what is different and new about the new hardware. It’s difficult to convince them to switch from their current platform to the next platform."

Spielberg: No One Will Replace Harrison Ford as Indy
Steven Spielberg has no intention of finding a new actor to star as Indy Jones. The director has said that he thinks Harrison Ford will forever be Indiana Jones.
"I don’t think anyone could replace Harrison as Indy, I don’t think that’s ever going to happen," Spielberg told Screen International.
"It’s certainly not my intention to ever have another actor step into his shoes in the way there have been many actors that have played Spider-Man or Batman," he added. "There is only going to be one actor playing Indiana Jones and that’s Harrison Ford."

Of course, you've already seen the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer. If not, watch it now before reading any further...
There's loads going on in the trailer, especially the appearance of Doomsday. And we think we've got a good idea of how Lex has created the creature.
But before starting, it's worth saying the video above and the written analysis below contain a good deal of speculation, but since we might hit upon something in the movie, consider this your final spoiler warning.

Nintendo CEO Says QOL Initiative ‘Still Under Development’
Nintendo president and CEO Tatsumi Kimishima has confirmed that the company's Quality of Life initiative is still in the works.
Kimishima reaffirmed the company's commitment to its QOL plans in an interview with TIME, telling the outlet: "the only information I really have now is to say that the quality of life initiative is still under development, and I have no further information to share. It’s just not at the point in development where I feel I can make any announcements at this time."
Earlier this year, the company filed a patent for a ceiling projector-equipped sleep monitor. Otherwise, Nintendo has remained tight-lipped on its initiative all year long, leading analysts to assume it had abandoned its QOL plans.
Agent Carter: Season 2 Poster Debut
Peggy Carter is returning to our TV screens next month and IGN has the exclusive debut of the new Marvel's Agent Carter: Season 2 key art.
Season 2 of the series finds Peggy moving from New York to Los Angeles, for a story that is said to have a heavier noir-influence than Season 1. While the key art puts Peggy back in the popular blue dress/red hat outfit Season 1 introduced, the changes to the show are reflected via the sunglasses in her hand (a nod to her new LA setting) and a dark and moody visual style befitting a noir scenario.
Pokemon Rumble World to Get Boxed Release
Nintendo’s free-to-play Pokémon Rumble World will be getting a boxed retail release.
The second free-to-play Pokemon title will be released at retail on January 22. The boxed version does away with in-game microtransactions. Instead, players start with a hefty chunk of in-game currency, Pokemon Diamonds, then each day they’ll be awarded more, making missions available to unlock at the touch of a button.
Pokemon Rumble World is a kind of battler where players control one Pokemon who must fight their way through an area filled with other different ‘Mons. Every time you knock out an enemy Pokemon, there’s a chance it’ll drop itself for collection, and thus, player usage. Each area has its own boss Pokemon available for capture, albeit with a different catch rate.

EA ‘Surprised’ By GameStop Comment That Battlefront ‘Underperformed’
Electronic Arts' Peter Moore was "surprised" by comments made by a GameStop executive who said Star Wars Battlefront had "underperformed".
As reported by Eurogamer, GameStop's Tony Bartel told investors that the sci-fi shooter - along with Halo 5: Guardians and Assassin's Creed Syndicate - had not performed as the retailer had anticipated since its release on November 20, 2015.
"We're not going to quantify it in terms of actual numbers," Bartel said, "but we had high expectations that diminished somewhat as it got closer and it failed to hit those lowered expectations."
