Four New PlayStation VR Games Revealed

Four new games for PlayStation VR were revealed at PlayStation Experience today—Job Simulator, Eclipse, Distance, and Classroom Aquatic.

No release dates have been announced for any of these four games, but you'll be able to play demos for Distance and Eclipse at PlayStation Experience this weekend.

Job Simulator is, well, a job simulator. Eclipse is a first-person exploration game set in a dark and eery land. Distance, a survival racing game, brings players into the driver's seat. Classroom Aquatic puts players into an underwater dolphin classroom.

Job Simulator was created to remind humans what it's like "to job," because human workers have been replaced by robots.

Dying Light: The Following Release Date, Enhanced Edition Announced

Techland announced today that Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition will hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 9, 2016 for $59.99.

This enhanced edition will include the main game in addition to The Following expansion, plus Bozak Horde mode, Be the Zombie mode, Cuisine and Cargo challenge missions, the Ultimate Survivor Bundle, and every content update.

Techland called the game "more than the industry standard GOTY edition" and noted that players who already own Dying Light will be able to download the "enhancements" from this new addition for free.

Recently, Techland announced that The Following and Dying Light's season pass will cost more as of next week due to the “increased scale of the project."

Details of New Mode for Dead Star on PS4 Revealed

Dead Star, the sci-fi space battler for PS4, is getting a new mode called Escape Run.

The mode was announced today at PlayStation Experience and involves locating a Capital Ship, a massive, ruined starship "still floating in the forgotten regions of the battlefield."

Once the location of the Capital Ship has been discovered, Armature Studio said "you and up to four of your friends can attempt to make an Escape Run" out of the interstellar prison in which the game is set.

The Capital Ships are equipped with warp drives, and after crew members have been assigned to their respective stations, "you and your friends will power up the listing hulk of the Capital Ship and get the warp drive back online." Once the drive is online, the ship needs to be navigated through a series of warp jumps and "with each jump comes a new set of hazards."

Guns Up Out Today on PlayStation 4

Guns Up! is now available as a free download for PlayStation 4, Valkyrie Entertainment has announced.

In a post on PlayStation Blog, studio president Joakim Wejdemar revealed the news, while also providing the following voucher code that grants you 100 Gold of in-game currency: R3MK-K7NC-NCAF.

Additionally, PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an added bonus in the form of an exclusive bundle, which includes:

  • 5 Rare Card Packs
  • 50 Attack XP Boost
  • 50 Attack Munitions Boost

Hitman Beta Coming to PS4 February 2016

The start date for the Hitman beta was revealed today by IO Interactive. The beta begins February 12, 2016 on PS4 and is open to anyone who pre-ordered the game on PS4.

Additionally, six extra contacts known as "The Sarajevo Six" will be exclusive to the PS4 version of the final game, which releases on March 11 of next year.

The first three contracts will be available on launch, with the remaining "becoming available as new locations are released during 2016."

The Hitman beta is set 20 years in the past "at a top secret ICA recruitment and training facility," with the mission revolving around how Agent 47 was recruited into the organization. The developer calls it a "moment of huge interest to fans," as well as a good jumping-off point for newcomers to the series.

Every Trailer and Announcement From Sony’s PlayStation Experience Conference

Today at Sony's PlayStation Experience 2015 conference Sony and its partners announced a host of new games and showed off its newest VR technology. Take a look at every big story and trailer from the big event.

The conference began with a huge sizzle reel of Sony games.

The montage gave way to footage of Sam and Nathan Drake reunited in Uncharted 4, and revealed the presence of dialogue options in Uncharted.

SCEA President & CEO Shawn Layden took the stage in a Crash Bandicoot shirt, welcoming visitors to the PlayStation Experience. He then revealed the first gameplay trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake.

New Daredevil: Season 2 Punisher Scene Descriptions

Marvel has unveiled a new trailer for Daredevil's second season, offering a first look at Jon Bernthal as The Punisher.

The clip was revealed behind closed doors at Comic Con Experience in Brazil and thanks to tight security, the footage has yet to surface online. Fortunately, Tumblr user Cherryvane (via ComicBook.com) has posted a description of what was shown.

According to the description, the trailer opens with Daredevil in what appears to be a refrigerated room with large pieces of meat hanging from the ceiling. After discovering people are also hanging, he questions a survivor, saying, "Why did they do this to you?" The man replies, "They? It was just a guy."

Watch: Mark Hamill Appears in New Star Wars Promo

Disney released a new Star Wars: The Force Awakens featurette today that had premiered at Comic-Con Brazil during a presentation hosted by one of the film's producers, Bryan Burk.

While this "Legacy" featurette (embedded below) doesn't include any new footage from the film, it does showcase some behind-the-scenes footage and cast and crew interview soundbites, including one from Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill.

Luke Skywalker has been notably absent from the Force Awakens' marketing materials, a decision which director J.J. Abrams has confirmed was "no accident." Abrams has also spoken of the mythic status that Luke has gained by the time of the events depicted in The Force Awakens.
