New Deadpool Poster Hits, Trailer Coming

Update: And now Fox has released a video of Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth teasing the "12 Days of Deadpool," which will see some new treat being unveiled every day from now until Christmas, when the new trailer will drop. Take a look:

20th Century Fox has released a new poster for Deadpool.

Much like the film's international "cheeky" promo art, Fox's latest poster provides a fresh look at the antihero himself, along with another witty tagline. See it below, courtesy of EW.

New Pokemon Volcanion Officially Revealed

A new Pokemon has been found! Pokemon's official YouTube channel revealed the 721st Pokemon, Volcanion, who we know cannot be confronted in regular gameplay. No word yet on how Volcanion can be encountered.

The first Pokemon to be both fire and water type, Volcanion combines the two elements to create steam, which is used to expel "explosive shock waves and boiling steam from the arms on its back."

The new Pokemon's weaknesses are ground, rock, and electric type Pokemon, while it's strong against ground, bug, steel, and ice types. Volcanion's ability is water absorb, which negates damage and restores HP by 25% of the user's max HP.

Some of Volcanion's special moves are steam eruption, scald, and weather ball.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Comes to PC in January

Xbox One timed exclusive Rise of the Tomb Raider has been listed for PC by Amazon France. The listing has a release date of January 29, 2016.

The listing shows what is undoubtedly PC box art for the game, with compatible versions of Windows listed in the product description.

Last July, Sqaure Enix announced Rise of the Tomb Raider was coming to PC "early 2016," and said the PS4 release will be almost a year from now.

The PC release will put it alongside the Baba Yaga Rise of the Tomb Raider DLC, which is also scheduled to release that month.

Unravel Price, Release Date Announced

EA and Coldwood have announced that Unravel will launch on February 9, 2016 for $19.99 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

“Gaming is a powerful platform, able to inspire players and touch their hearts. With Unravel, we’re hoping to do just that,” said creative director Martin Sahlin. “Yarny’s quest is to mend broken bonds and the yarn represents the love and connection between people. Along the way, we’ll test your cleverness with environment-based puzzles inspired by our home in Northern Sweden.”

EA describes Unravel as “a heartfelt story about love and longing, and the ties that bind, with Yarny as the red thread that runs through it all.”

The platformer was revealed back at E3 along with its adorable main character, Yarny. You can find out a lot more about Yarny’s adventure in our 12-minute developer commentary with Sahlin, plus nine minutes of gameplay.

Release Date Set for Last-gen Tony Hawk’s 5 on PS3

The last-gen version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will arrive on PS3 tomorrow, December 15, in the US.

The news comes via the US PS Blog. We asked Activision if there are any plans to bring Tony Hawk’s 5 to the UK, on either PS3 or Xbox 360, and received the following statement:

“Activision will not be releasing Tony Hawk’s 5 in the UK on those platforms at this time.”

Activision decided to delay the release of the last-gen versions of Tony Hawk’s back in October. The reason for the delay was to give Activision some extra time to work "on fixes and content updates,” for the PS4 and Xbox One iterations.

Guitar Hero Live Gets Multiplayer in New ‘Rival Challenges’

Starting today Guitar Hero Live players can go head-to-head with the game's new Rival Challenges.

"As you play through the channels, you will periodically be matched up against a similar-skilled opponent to square off, 1 v 1 style, in a song battle to test your skills," developer FreeStyleGames' announcement reads.

From there the challenge seemingly plays out like a normal set with both players' highways laid side-by-side. Neither player selects the song to be played, which is instead chosen by the game itself.

The winner of each challenge will earn bonus experience for their trouble, while both players will have an opportunity to show off their custom player cards.

Super Mario Galaxy Coming to Wii U eShop Tomorrow

Update: Super Mario Galaxy will release on the Wii U Virtual Console tomorrow in North America.

According to the game's official product page, the title will be available for purchase through the eShop for $19.99.

According to a rating by the ESRB (via Nintendo Life), it appears Super Mario Galaxy will be making its way to Nintendo's tablet-centric console in the near future.

Jennifer Lawrence: It’s ‘Too Soon’ for Hunger Games Prequels

Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, won't be involved if Lionsgate goes ahead with rumored prequel plans.

"I wouldn't be involved," Lawrence told Variety. "I think it's too soon. They've got to let the body get cold, in my opinion."

There were originally only supposed to be four films in the Hunger Games series, however it was recently rumored that Lionsgate is interested in creating additional movies.

Olly Moss Designs New Covers for Harry Potter Series

The Harry Potter series has new eBook covers designed by UK artist Olly Moss.

As posted on Pottermore, Moss was eager for a chance to reimagine the covers, being a fan of the series himself. Moss's covers are available now for eBooks bought from all leading retailers, and from the Pottermore shop in 2016.

The most terrifying part of this project, Moss told Pottermore, was the fear of creating something that J.K. Rowling would hate.
