Rock Band 4 Developer Provides Update on Online Multiplayer
Developer Harmonix has revealed its plans for future updates coming to Rock Band 4.
In a detailed blog post, Harmonix described its effort to be more transparent between development and the community. To that end, the company revealed that highly requested features, both setlists and practice mode, will be coming for free to Rock Band 4 in 2016.
Additionally, January's update will be "modest in scope" compared to December's, according to Daniel Sussman, product manager for Rock Band 4. The developer is making song exports a priority for the month, first bringing songs from the original Rock Band over, with Rock Band 2 and Lego Rock Band to follow.

Abrams on Force Awakens’ Differences from Lucas’ Vision
While George Lucas had a clear future in mind for Star Wars, the direction of the series changed when he sold Lucasfilm to Disney. And now director and co-writer J.J. Abrams has talked about how The Force Awakens and the studio's new vision for the franchise differs from Lucas' original plans.
In an interview with /Film, Abrams explained that when he came on board to direct, Disney had already scrapped Lucas' plans for the sequel films, "so the mandate was to start from scratch and tell a story that was the continuum."
When asked how The Force Awakens differs from Lucas' original plans, Abrams added: "I can’t quantify that, but I can say that the spirit of it, the feeling of it, the continuum and telling a brand new story set in a world that just like VI from V and V from IV would feel like a continuum, is always the thing
G.I. Joe Gets Shared Universe with Micronauts, More
Hasbro and Paramount Pictures will unite G.I. Joe, the Micronauts, Visionaries, ROM, and M.A.S.K. in one shared movie universe.
The duo has previous collaborated on other toys-to-film projects, including Transformers and two standalone G.I. Joe films. The article does not mention if their flagship Transformers franchise will bleed into the other five properties.
The movies are to be produced by Allspark Pictures, Hasbro's recently minted film label. Paramount will handle distribution.
Allspark has thus far released only one movie, a critically and commercially unsuccessful adaptation of Jem and the Holograms. Meanwhile, a ROM comic book reboot was recently announced at IDW publishing.
Wrestling Wrap Up: Roman Loses at TLC, Wins Big on RAW
I honestly don't know where to start here, but I do know I'm gonna write a hell of a lot about Roman Reigns. Again. He was thwarted at TLC but then came back 24 hours later and toppled Sheamus (and the League, and Vince) on RAW to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
And it was f***ing glorious.
Am I a giant Roman Reigns fan now? Nah. Has WWE solved the "Roman Reigns problem?" Nope. I don't know what Smackdown holds. Or next week's TV. Or the storyline going forward. But Sunday and Monday night were both awesome. And told an incredible, quick story that pushed Reigns up and over like never before. And got the crowd with him. The Boston crowd. The Philly crowd. The online crowd. Yes, there were still people on the web screaming that he sucks and that he wasn't over (not sure what events those folks were watching), but that'll most likely be Roman's cross to bear forever and ever.

Animal Crossing’s Isabelle, Back in Nendoroid Form
Good Smile Company has re-released Animal Crossing: New Leaf's Nendoroid Isabelle. The village mayor's personal secretary stands at around 4 inches, and comes with a bunch of accessories.
The figure will be released in April, but can be preordered from December 15 to January 13 at the Good Smile Shop. New Leaf's most helpful puppy will cost you around $30 USD, or 3,333 yen.
She can be posed, and will ship with musical notes, a clipboard, and a question mark—so you'll definitely be able to recreate her "Do you need something?" pose. The site notes that she's not able to balance on her own, so the stand she comes with is necessary.
Hideo Kojima Officially Exits Konami to Start New Studio
Metal Gear Solid creator and director Hideo Kojima has finally split with Konami, according to Japanese financial publication The Nikkei.
The report, translated from Japanese, explains that the developer will break with the publisher to begin a new studio. His new company will apparently retain an unspecified number of former Kojima Productions staff, and is in talks with Sony to develop for PlayStation platforms.
Kojima and Konami have been in conflict for the better part of 2015. It began publicly with the cancellation of the developer's Silent Hill project, and escalated as Konami removed Kojima's name from marketing material for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.
