Warcraft 3, Diablo 2, StarCraft Remasters Coming?

A new job listing at Blizzard Entertainment is hinting at the possibility of remastering some of its most popular classic games.

According to a post on Blizzard’s website, the developer is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Classic Games to help restore StarCraft, Warcraft III, and Diablo II and allegedly update them for modern PCs.

“Compelling stories. Intense multiplayer. Endless replayability. Qualities that made StarCraft, Warcraft III, and Diablo II the titans of their day. Evolving operating systems, hardware, and online services have made them more difficult to be experienced by their loyal followers or reaching a new generation,” Blizzard said.

56 Reasons Why 2001 Was Totally Awesome

Welcome back to IGN's History of Awesome - a year-long look back at all the coolest and most influential games, movies, TV shows, comic books, toys, and tech that have shaped pop culture, and shaped the lives of an entire generation. Up this week is 2001 - the year the original Xbox launched, alongside it Halo: Combat Evolved. Nintendo's GameCube also launched this year, meaning Super Smash Bros. Melee and Pikmin. New Fallout 4 Bobbleheads Available for Pre-Order

Bethesda is preparing to offer fans more options for Fallout 4 merchandise to adorn their desktops and empty shelf space.

With an estimated shipping date of November 13, several new Vault Boy bobblehead figures are currently available for Pre-Order via the Bethesda Store website. These figures range from 5-7 inches in height and portray the Vault Boy character in his many different poses for the game's respective skills.

Smaller figures are available for $15, while larger figures will cost $20. See the store for more information.

Fallout 4 branding has been spotted on a number of different products ranging from smartphone emoji to custom Fallout 4 cars in Forza 6. Look for Bethesda's apocalyptic RPG on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 November 10.

PS4, PC Dominant Platforms for Ubisoft Games

In the press release accompanying its earnings report, Ubisoft gave a breakdown of its games sold by platform, and Sony's PS4 took the top spot with 27% of the share.

The next most popular platform for sales of Ubisoft games was PC at 20%, followed by Xbox One with 12%. The two big last-gen consoles, Xbox 360 and PS3, made up 10%, each, of sales of Ubisoft games.

Wii, not Wii U, saw a 2% share of Ubisoft's total sales, double the number of sales on Wii U, which only managed to claim a 1% share. All categories saw a decline in their share from the same period last year, with the exception of PC and "Other" titles, which increased 5%. "Other" is defined as mobile and "ancillary" platforms.

New Force Awakens Character Posters

A number of all-new character posters for each of the leads in Star Wars: The Force Awakens have been revealed.

Featuring Ren, Finn, Han, Leia, and Kylo Ren, the posters are different from the classic Star Wars posters in the past, but offer hints at each character's role and personality.

These posters have been revealed a couple of weeks after the official trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released, leading up to the JJ Abrams-directed film debuting in theaters on December 18.

Black Sails: Zach McGowan on Blackbeard’s Arrival

Season 2 of Starz's swashbuckling pirate drama Black Sails - starring Zach McGowan, Toby Stephens, and Hannah New - is now available on Blu-ray + Digital HD with Ultraviolet and DVD.

Released on Tuesday, November 3rd, Black Sails: The Complete Second Season contains over an hour of new, exclusive bonus features including expanded commentaries from the cast and creators, and behind-the-scenes featurettes on the stunts and special effects. I recently spoke to Charles Vane himself, star Zach McGowan, about the Season 2 release, Vane's shocking battle with Ned Low, and what might await Vane in Season 3 as Ray Stevenson's Blackbeard enters the mix.

Liam Neeson to Play Deep Throat in Felt

Liam Neeson is set to star in Felt, the upcoming spy thriller from Peter Landesman, as Deep Throat.

Felt will tell the rue story of Watergate whistleblower Mark Felt (Neeson) who, after hiding behind the alias Deep Throat for over 30 years, reveals himself to be the infamous tipster.

Shooting is expected to commence in March of next year. Leeson is the only actor cast so far.

In addition to having penned the script, Landesman is on board to produce and direct the film. Ridley Scott's Scott Free Productions, as well as MadRiver Pictures, Playtone, and Cara Films are all producing, too.

First Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Photos

The first official photos for J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them have been revealed, providing an early glimpse at the film's protagonist, the world-famous magizoologist Newt Scamander, and the supporting characters.

The photo was revealed on the cover of Entertainment Weekly's November issue. In it we see Scamander standing in the entrance of the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA), the American equivalent to England's Ministry of Magic.

Paul Rudd to Star in Warcraft Director’s New Sci-Fi Movie

Mute, the upcoming science-fiction thriller from Warcraft director Duncan Jones, will star Ant-Man's Paul Rudd.

The Marvel superhero will star alongside True Blood alum Alexander Skarsgård in a film, set 40 years in the future, about a mute bartender named Leo Beiler (Skarsgård), who crosses paths with an American surgeon (Rudd) as he searches for the woman he loves in a war-torn Berlin.

"I’ve been working towards making Mute for 12 years now," film director Duncan Jones said in a statement. "I cannot tell you how thrilled I am that we're finally going to shoot this utterly unique film. The fact that I get to make it with Alexander Skarsgård and Paul Rudd makes it all the more exciting! Mute is a film that will last. It is unlike any other science fiction being made today."

Star Fox Zero Website Features Loads of New Screens

The official website for Nintendo's upcoming Wii U exclusive Star Fox Zero is now live.

You can check out the site right here, which features a host of new images, including screenshots and game art. See them all in our gallery below.

It appears the website is still in progress, with Nintendo providing a note on its main page that reads: "Full site coming soon." That said, the webpage does offer a trio of Star Fox Zero wallpapers, as well as a brief overview of the game's unique features, including the ability "see your surroundings on your TV, and get a different view on the GamePad by tilting it to aim."
