AMC’s Into the Badlands is This Week’s TV Highlight
A modestly busy week for TV (and streaming) as 2 Broke Girls returns to CBS, Bob Odenkirk and David Cross do some sketch comedy for Netflix, Daryl takes center stage on The Walking Dead, and Esquire premieres its first ever scripted series, Spotless.
But the highlight this week is AMC's new martial arts/adventure series Into the Badlands. From Smallville's Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, Into the Badlands takes place centuries from now, after modern civilization's crumbled and a new feudal society has risen up in its place. Daniel Wu stars as a "Clipper" (assassin/samurai-type, tied to a land baron) who crosses paths with a mysterious boy who may be the key to a new life for everyone living in the Badlands.

Does the Latest Star Wars Trailer Teases Rey’s Parentage
The first TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens just came out, and even though it only runs to 30 seconds, there's a lot to discuss, especially the hints regarding Rey's parentage.

You have been warned...
0:02 – The Millennium Falcon flies over a lake on a verdant planet we believe is called Takodana.
Why? The planet's name appears on the character entry for the protocol droid ME-8D9 on the Star Wars Databank (the official encyclopaedia). ME-8D9 is also known as "Emmie by the unallied scoundrels on Takodana." The entry was added to the databank around the same time as descriptions for more high-profile characters like Kylo Ren and Rey, suggesting ME-8DP is also from The Force Awakens.

Fantastic Beasts: New Details on Setting and Ensemble
Several new details regarding J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them have been revealed, confirming the film is actually about four heroes and not just Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander.
In the same way Rowling's Potter films centered around the trio of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, Fantastic Beasts will focus on four protagonists, including the aforementioned Newt, as well as Tina (Katherine Waterston), Queenie (Alison Sudol), and Jacob (Dan Fogler).
